i bought both colours at once thinking i'll like it (plus it was on sale!).. didn't pay attention to comments of it being subtle cos I like subtle stuff.. but this is a little too subtle.. it's nice at first.. but the shimmer comes off! sticks to fingers, etc.. and it ends up looking like regular versamark but more faint. I have yet to try embossing it though...
and I have to agree with those who said it was subtle. If you would have told me it was regular old versamark, I'm pretty sure I would believe it. I just couldn't tell much difference at all.

my LSS demos both versions the champagne and the dazzle.. majorly unimpressed to the point of disappointment. she used many different colors of cardstock and none of us could really tell a difference at all. and given the price, it was even more of a disappointment.
I have the frost and I like it a lot. I'm doing a workshop next week and this is the project using the versamark on the 2 pink tags. The one with the flower & vase is simply stamped and the other is white glossy cardstock brayered with Pink Piroutte. The camera doesn't pick up the metallic shine, but it shows up nicely. I'm a fan, but I think it's also because I used a stamp with a thick line so it show more. Here is the project: Versamark Dazzle by stamphappy1650 at Splitcoaststampers

I purchased the Champagne at Impress recently...I haven't used it yet, but the lady working there told me the folks at Tsukineko said if you really want lots of shimmer and sparkle, you need to ink the pad with a re-inker every single time you stamp.
That means you would basically need to purchase the pad AND the re-inker in order to get the results it sounds like most people are looking for. Given the cost, I'm not sure it's worth it. I will still try the pad I purchased, but I'm not particularly optimistic.

Hi, I bought both when they just came out. Everyone seemed to be raving about it and I like subtle shimmer. But I was sorely disappointed with it. Hardly use it now and it's among the few things I regret buying =( must try and use it more.
I did get a chance to see these pads stamped last weeeknd at Archivers. It is very hard to see the shimmer so I did not buy them. Its a lot of money to not be able to see the effect. I bought other stuff instead.
