Default Un-inked roller cartridge????

Question:
Thought it would be wise to buy an uninked roller cartridge.

Now, as I am 'filling' it with an ink, it is hard to get it even (I know this because as I tried the roller, the stamped image is uneven with color).

Any suggestions???

(I know. Note to self. No need to buy an un-inked cartridge in the future!!)

With a plastic sandwich bag on your hand (to protect fingers from dye), massage the roller to spread ink... they do need quite a bit of ink though.. so you may need to add a bit more. Hope that helps.;)

I have never had this trouble and I have quite a few uninked cartridges because SU! in their infinite wisdom doesn't carry them for the jumbo wheels in all SU! colors!! I just make sure that I use the tip of the reinker to push the ink inot the pad as I am inking the cartridge. This is a slow process and takes a lot of ink but I am able to get an evenly ink image every time!!

I was wondering this same thing. I tried to load an uninked cartridge with embossing ink last week and just couldn't get it even. Thanks for the tips!
