Question Traveling with Copics

I know this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find the thread...

But can I take Copics as a carry-on onto a plane? I don't want to put them in my check-in suitcase because I don't trust the airlines handling items during the holiday traveling seasons. LOL. I know I should be worried more about my clothes than Copics...but I think at this point, the Copics are just as expensive as my traveling clothes.

Hi

Yes you can. I do it all the time. The only thing you should take care of is when you open one marker cap, open the other end just to equalize the pressure evenly into the barrel of the marker. Also I put the markers I used in the plane into a separate ziplock bag to know which one I used an I do the same thing when I reuse them on the ground so you do not have to open them all and that is to re equalize the pressure otherwise you may get drops of ink all over. I have learned the hard way... ;)

You can get more info on traveling by plane with copics on CardCreme blog:

In the US the only thing that you cannot carry with you is the big bottle of color less blender (not sure about the refills) for safety reasons.

So will I shoudn't take the Colorless blender marker with me? Will they be checking through every marker for the colorless blender?

Also, is there a limit to how many of the markers you can bring on board with you?

Hi

Me again

Yes you can bring your Colorless marker with you. It is the big refill bottle that you can not bring with you as this big bottle is more than 100ml.

You can bring as much markers as you want. I own 200 and I bring them all and never had problem. I carry them in a large black make-up case with a shoulder strap. It look like a rectangle purse.
