I received the rosette die as a gift. I have a Cuttlebug and a Grand Calibur and I cannot get the die to cut for anything. Should I be able to cut this die with either of my machines? Hoping someone can give me some suggestions.
Thanks, guess I will be in search of the long cuttlebug plates now. Oh well, I need to replace my regular B plates, too. Not sure if I can use coupons for those or not as I haven't purchased "machine" type supplies in a while.
I used the long plates and the sandwich you recommended, ran it through my trusty Cuttlebug and it worked like a dream!! On both cardstock and thin pattern paper from HL...Thanks iamvics for sharing...

Thanks for posting this link to the snowflake rosette die – I haven't seen that one. Now I'm wondering if I want to design some Christmas cards using it!

No, I hadn't seen it but I'm getting my camping gear ready so I can go wait in line at the craft store for when it comes in October...!! It looks awesome!

The owner of my LSS loves Tim things and has the order in. If you want to pre-order from an online source, I recommend Inspiration Emporium: *Coming Soon

Here is a link on my blog to how I managed to cut the rosette die just using my 'bug and the normal plates.HTH.
Does anyone find that when you cut the Tim Holtz rosette die that the rosette comes apart because the cut is too deep or has too much pressure? I use a Big Shot. If this happens to you, do you know how to fix it?

I set the die at an angle rather than straight on the plate and have never had the issue of it falling apart.
Tim uses his tape on the back of the strip to secure it. If you have that tape, it is thin, tissue like and it works. If you can get some paper tape in the first aid section of a store or pharmacy (the kind they use in the hosp so that the adhesive won't peel off so painfully), it works too. They don't add too much bulk. Also, I saw a youtube from Tim on the rosettes and he only folds a few sections at a time. Check out his youtubes. If I find it, I will add it to this post.
