I have this really cool milk carton template. It is plastic sheet to lay over and trace. I have a lot of other templates, but they are not the plastic lay over kind. They have to be traced on the outside and then you have to use the ruler and a lot of trial and error to score in the right place.
Does anyone know where I can buy more plastic sheet templates?

I have a 4 petal envelope template from One Heart One Mind - it's excellent quality, made of really thick plastic so is really durable. It makes envelopes in 4 sizes. They make a few other envelope templates as well. Here's a link to the templates:

There is a fab company in the UK called WS Designs that have a large range of plastic card making templates. They sell all kinds of templates in their 'Tempting Templates' range like envelope, box, number and letters, shaped card and pop up card templates. I'm not sure if I should ask in this thread? I was looking for a pattern for a piece that goes behind a picture or frame to hold it up. I'm not sure what i'ts called. You know, that thingy that's kinda shaped like a sail and it lays flat until you prop your photo frame up and you pull it out??

I buy sheets of plastic to cut my templates out of. I get it from patchwork shops it is inexpensive and you can buy it clear or with a grid.

I have made my own plastic templates using old X-rays. I don't know how easy they are to get now with so many things going on computers but I asked once at my drs. office and they gave me a whole stack after they cut the patient names off them. You can also buy big sheets of clear plastic for templates at quilting stores.

I was going to suggest the very same thing. Years ago a friend of mine brought a whole stack of them over and we traced HEAPS of things using sharpie markers. We did solid lines for cutting, slashed lines for scoring, etc. then we cut them all out. They work perfectly, and I haven't had to re-do a single one! Like posted before, you can always ask your dr.'s office, or call a radiologist's office and ask them what they do with the films that do not turn out clear enough - those were the ones we had, where the image was not in focus ~ didn't matter to us!! They are sturdy enough. Good luck!
