I am getting ready to put in an SU order, and I am hung up on punches. I have Paper Piecing and am getting the new flower one. I kind of like the Word Window one, but what ones do you all like and why? Which would you suggest are "musts" and which maybe did you get but not like as much as you thought?? Also, if you have any samples using the punches, can you let me know so I can take a look?
Word Window is my favorite of all my punches and I have many! I rarely buy SU punches because EK Success makes the same punches and I can get the punches for much, much less in stores than SU sells them for. Word Window seems to be unique to SU and I truly love that punch.
I really like the horizontal slot punch and the slit punch too! They are also ones that seem to be unique to SU. The word window punch is going on my next order though
My favorites are the word window, tag (hope it makes the new catty!), and the flower punch that goes with Looks Like Spring. Punching out 3 flowers at once is great!
So glad you got the flower punch it is my favorite! LOVE IT! I am a punch junkie though and I bought the balloon and party hat ones and use them to make my own confetti for goodie bags at birthday parties.
I have the tag punch and have just received the word window and spring flower punch. Next on my wish list of punches is the snowman-he's the perfect size, tie a piece of colored hemp around his neck and he has the cutest scarf. Got the idea from my demo on the last Christmas stamp-a-stack she did. HTH.
My advice to you is... pick the ones you like and order them from SU, get them as you can afford them. They are better quality than what you find in the craft stores... and don't forget to add the cost of the gas it took you to get to the craft stores. I'm not a SU consultant... I have nothing to gain by telling you this. If you are a SU cons., you want your customers supporting you and not the craft store, because they will ask you where you got what you are using. Esther
#1 EVER - Word Window: there are SO many uses which makes this punch so versatile.
#2 - Horizontal Slot: perfect for ribbon slots and tag tops, and the rounded edges are so much nicer than my squared off slot punch.
#3 - Slit: LOVE to make slots to insert things... very handy.
WOW! You all like the Word Window so much. I had a feeling that was a winner. I think I'll get the Slit Punch, too. It's a good price and seems so useful. SU punches are really great, and I never see any that are better at a better price.
I have the flower punch, slit punch and word window. LOVE them all! I need to check the order I'm receiving today to see if I remembered to order the horizontal slot! That's one I've wanted for some time!

Those are my MOST used!
And the tag punch but you can't get that anymore. So I hope you have it
I'd get the Spring Bouquet punch first cause it will be gone the end of the month.
I just helped my SIL put some scrapbook pages from Christmas together and used the spring flower punch to make poinsettas with it. Green in back and burgandy in front SO CUTE! This punch is a must have get it before its gone and you kick yourself!
slit punch and Looks Like Spring flower punch. I love both. But my next order will be for a Word Window punch (right now I'm making do with Pockets and Pieces that are similar).
