I've noticed that alot of my SU ink pads are curling up at the corners so the inkins surface is not flat. Is there something I'm doing wrong to make them do that? It makes it had to get the ink evenly on the stamp, plus makes the wood get all inked up. I'm a bit OCD and I *hate* that!

Over the years, I have learned.....take the pad to the stamp, not the stamp to the pad. When you 'tap, tap, tap' in the middle of the pad, that's what happens. And, it's not just my SU pads that do it. Now, I turn my stamp upside down on my desk and apply the pad to the stamp, not the stamp to the pad. A small thing I know, but it does help.
okay... i'll give this a try, but I'm not convinced that it's they way I'm using the pad. I've got some new/hardly used pads that are also doing this. Plus none of my non-SU pads do this and I use all of my pads the same way. Possible design flaw?

Oh, and I do think it is because of the design of the case, yes. I don't mean that in a bad way...a lot of people store ink pads upside down; it keeps the ink right at the top of the pad. Obviously though, it also means that the ink is pulled away from the bottom, which means that the pad, because it's dry on the bottom, starts to curl away from the case. Again, keeping it well-inked would take care of that.
I wonder if you use a drop of superglue to keep it stuck on would work... as is mentioned here the pads are automatically stored upside down so gluing might just work.
I agree with Betsy. I just reinked all my SU pads, and they all lay flat now.
I did have an inkpad separate completely from the case (choc chip) and used rubber cement to stick it down again. That worked perfectly, and I've never had a problem with it since. I use choc chip all the time, too, and keep it well inked.
