Question streaks on paper

Hi, new, do not know if I am in the right place or not. Having a problem putting my 1st top layer of mod podge on scrapbook paper and when dried it has streaks. :(

Do you mean you painted Mod Podge onto the paper and the colours streaked? If so, I would try a spray on sealant and do light coats so that you don't get the paper too wet and cause the ink to bleed or run. Once you get a few layers of sealer, then you can paint on the Mod Podge.

I have an Etsy shop (5 years) and do recipe boxes, keepsake boxes, etc. I use scrapbook paper and card stock to decorate. I put my paper on my box with mod podge. After dried, I add about 3-4 coats, drying time between each coat. Lately, after 1st coat dries, it has streaks. Only on the card stock. I have tried thin layers, thick layers. Sometimes I am lucky and no streaks but most of time streaks. So aggravating:(

I will try putting a sealer first before I put the mod podge on. Just have never seen that in the tutorials but sure worth a try. Thank you

I'm curious - how are you using the mod podge? do you have a picture you can share?

I've always had brush lines from mod podge over the years. Whether it was foam brush or brush or (finger)

There are several formulas for Mod Podge. Have you changed the type you're using?

Is it texture lines, or color streaks from the paper?
