I love the look of stitched dies. I have MFT Blueprints 13 with a large rectangle, 4 x 5 /14, but I want more. Does anyone make 4 1/4 x 5 1/2?
What about sets of graduated sizes for a reasonable price?
I have some circle dies from SSS that imprint the stitched on the cut-out AND on the circle that is left. This is Very Cool. Anyone make rectangles like this?
TIA
Lawn Fawn makes two sets that have the stitching on the inside. Buy both sets because they nest together! Happy to enable! I don't remember who makes the ones that emboss on both sides.

SSS makes rectangle dies like that too - I have the circles and rectangles, I can measure the largest for you tomorrow. They have stitched squares too. I'm sure I'll have those eventually....
I love this look and now there are rounded corner rectangles and wonky squares and stars and hearts all with the stitches around the edges AAAAAAhhhhhh.... Which ones to buy!!!
I just bought the rectangle die from Memory Box about two weeks ago.I really like the way they add to a card just a little subtle something. Hope to get more. Like peanuts cant stop at one. lol
I have recently gotten interested in the stitched nesting dies. (I blame Jennifer McGuire. LoL) One brand makes a stitched line around the outside of the cut out and around the hole in the paper. Other brands create only a single stitched line around the outside of the cut out. Has anyone tried both styles and can give a review? Or if you've only tried one style, what influenced your decision? What do your like or not like? I'm pretty sure I'll be buying some type of stitched dies, but don't know which would be better. Thanks.

I have the SSS nested circles stitched dies that stitch on the cut out and around the hole. I have used it effectively for the cut out circle AND for the body of the paper with hole cut in it. LOVE THE EFFECT BOTH WAYS. Largest is 3.25", smallest is 3/8". I wish they were all larger. I have had Spellbinders small & large circles and recently bought Lifestyle circle dies (maybe 22 in the set, including really big ones) at Micheal's with a coupon. Since all these are used for different effects, I use them all. I am the original poster looking for stitched rectangles.
Lil' Inker Designs makes the ones I'm saving for. They have both single and dual stitched, and the largest of each of the rectangle sets cuts the full card front size.
I am going to revive this thread because I am really torn between the lil Inkers double stitched and the SSS double stitched rectangles. The main conundrum is how the largest die works, I want a true 4.25 x 5.5 stitched edge card. I think Lil Inkers clearly does that, but you get less dies (cost is also slightly less).
SSS is 6 dies: Simon Says Stamp SHAPES WITH STITCHES SetSS160 In Stitches at Simon Says STAMP! and says: The largest rectangle is 4 x 5.5 inches. Now I already own a plain 4.25 x 5.5 rectangle die IF the SSS outermost die does not actually do the cut. I cannot tell by the picture. And the sample cards all appear to be 1/8" inset.
I am pretty sure most folks don't own both sets because they are so close... but thought I would take a chance at some thoughts to help me decide.
ALso if I go with SSS I am going to get the pack of three. They have a code this week for 7.99 off. (hope I can decide before it expires)
I own Lil-inkers dies and love them, I've not bought any SSS brand products yet. Shipping on Lil Inkers is really reasonable so that is also playing a factor.
Oh the stress of making a decision! Thoughts anyone? Please help me decide...
Thanks!

These are my thoughts, too. I don't want a die that is 4 x 5.5, that's not in proportion to my card fronts. I think I'm going with Lil Inkers, and hoping for a sale someday.
Thanks for the input. I went to the site, found the rectangular stitched I like the value there for so many dies, however it does not have even close to the A2 size main rectangle I am after, here are the dimensions of the Journey rectangle dies...
Set of 12 dies - 6 rectangles with 6 matching piercing elements. To be used in our die cutting & embossing machine, the Journey Grand. 1: 1 3/4 X 5/8" 2: 1 7/8 X 3/4" 3: 2 3/8 X 1 1/4" 4: 2 1/2 X 1 3/8" 5: 3 X 1 7/8" 6: 3 1/8 X 2" 7: 3 5/8 X 2 1/2" 8: 3 3/4 X 2 5/8" 9: 4 3/8 X 3 1/8" 10: 4 1/2 X 3 3/8" 11: 4 7/8 X 3 3/4" 12: 5 X 3 7/8"
and the long rectangles I did not pursue as I am after A2.
I had to research what FSJ is and found it to be a coaching sales model(like SU) with statewide coaches I would have to pay state sales tax and the shipping would likely be higher (guessing here based on the really high SU shipping I am used to, so I apologize if FSJ has found a more economical shipping solution than SU)
So I re-read the stats one more time between SSS and Lil Inkers and I have finalized my order, I am getting the Lil Inkers Ovals and Rectangles, double stitched, no sales tax, $4.22 shipping. I think these are going to meet my needs and their prices are fair for the dies you get. I do own many Lil Inkers products and find them to be well made.
Thanks so much for the help. having the extra input assisted in getting this decision made by today which was my personal deadline to make a purchase!

Lil' Inker Designs makes the ones I'm saving for. They have both single and dual stitched, and the largest of each of the rectangle sets cuts the full card front size.
fionna51 - make sure you are getting the set that CUTS the card size outside. I got the original Lil' Inker rectangles and was disappointed that the outside ONLY cuts the stitches - it does not cut the card (A2) size out. They indicate that on their packaging but since it was so new, either I didn't read it carefully, or they didn't indicate it at the time I got it. So I use a Spellbinders nesting rectangle that is just a hair under A2 size to cut anything that I want almost A2 size.
I too am looking for rectangle dies that cut an A2 or slightly smaller. I have Lil Inkers single stitch line dies (6 to the set) The largest size cuts a stitching line but not an outside line. I also have Memory Box stitched rectangles with the largest size cut and stitch rectangle at 3.75X4.75-8 total dies. I'd like to have one that cuts a 5X3.75 and a 4.25X5.5. Most of these sets have too many of those smaller sizes. I never use those little ones and I would just has soon not have to pay for those. Anybody finding the 5X3.75 and the 5.25X4 size?
Wow those Gina Maries do look great. What a price. Just an FYI for those considering the Memory Box stitched rectangles layers, note that the stitching line cuts much closer to the edge of the of the cutting line. It's an OK look but not what I was expecting. Also the Papertrey Ink set stitched rectangles dies has the A2 size. I don't like that those are actually pierced dies not stitched lines and the holes are very big. I think they were meant for cutting felt and stitching with thread as well as making cards.
Janet this really helps me. These sets are mostly expensive and the pictures don't always show the details clearly. I don't like to buy a set and then find out that the stitching lines are not as expected.
One thing that might help you in your decision is to search the gallery under "stitched die" and look at the different ones used. From Lil Inker to Gina to Die-Namics to MFT, they all have a certain look to them.
I've seen some that are just nubs (Papertrey) and emboss a stitched look on the paper (which I like the look of) . Some have tiny die blades sticking up so it gives a tight stitch look (Lawn Fawn), while others (like Gina) have large blades that cut a slit in the paper. To me, the Gina dies cut too large a hole to be a good stitch look.
It looks like every company produces a set of stitched dies in one form or another. Googling it will give you images of them all so you can compare the dies side by side.
Lastly, it seems the tighter the stitch is and the more embossed it is, the more expensive the die set is.
I have the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle dies, and the largest is A2 size. I've used it, and it cuts a perfect card cover. The "stitches" are lines, and not dots. They also make a small set that layers with the large, but I don't have that one.
That was another thing I compared between all the sets - the number of nesting frames in the set. Some of these sets have only 4 frames in them. My Lil Inker rectangle set has 6 frames, the Gina circle set has 7 frames.
Personally, I think the Gina is a good value. You get a lot of frames that have to be within a 1/4 inch of each other (because they nest tightly) for $10. You can't beat that price.

I just received the Gina Marie Stitched rectangle set of die and there are 10 dies in the set for $10!!!!! The stitches are longer than on other dies that I have, and since I haven't yet had time to play with the new dies I can't give an opinion on them. Other Gina Marie dies I have cut very cleanly, and I expect these to do the same.
Where do you find the Gina Marie dies? It appears there is no website just for Gina Marie. I just wanted to look at them
scrapbookoutlet.com
The lady who owns/runs Scrapbook Outlet has her own line of stamps and dies which she calls Gina Marie Designs. Her name is Gina Stiemel and she says on her "about us" page that she wanted to offer affordable scrapbook supplies online. She also carries other brands, like Spellbinders (and I thinj Heri Arts).
I am new to her line of dies/stamps, my first order arrived a couple of weeks ago and in that time I have used them several times. My impression is that they are nice quality, cut well and are substantially cheaper in cost than other similar dies. She takes PayPal, which I prefer, so that's another plus. Shipping is reasonable, as well.
Another point in her favor is that she has some very unusual die shapes with matching stamp sets. Of note is a really cool motorcycle die set and stamps to go with. I personally don't have use for this theme but if I did I would buy it in a minute! There is also a cool hunting set of dies and stamps that has a flying duck and a hunter. Gina also has some unusual label type die sets with stitch lines. I bought a couple of different designs and they are super cool. In addition she has the standard square, round, rectangle stitched die sets.....oh, I and last but not least, a VERY cool set of stitched heart dies, which arrived in today's mail.
Check out scrapbookoutlet.com for yourself and see what you think of what she has to offer. Bet you will be impressed!
I do have other dies of hers and they cut great. I don't like the circle stitch die all that much (as in I'm not wild about them, but I do use them). They are of equal quality to all the other die companies I have, and they are very affordable - almost half the cost.
Reporting back on the Gina Marie Rectangle Die set that I received a couple of days ago. I commented that the stitch lines look much longer than on other brands of stitched dies that I have (MFT, Lil Inker, MB, My Creative Time).
Anyway, I had time to cut out a few of the rectangles last night using my regular white cardstock (Cougar). I love the look of the longer stitch lines! The dies cut really well and the stitch lines were clear and crisp looking. Very pleased!
The two smallest dies in this rectangle set will be the perfect size for sentiment panels. Most times I don't end up using the very smallest dies in a set, this set has useable small dies.
So happy to hear that Susy! I love Gina Marie dies. Soon as I heard she had stitched hearts I went over and picked all the new ones. The snowflake is o pretty.
The snowflake looks gorgeous done with metallic CS, Amber. Nice card! I looked at the snowflake set and opted not to get it simply because my shopping cart was loaded! ;) Might have to include that in my next order...TFS!
