Question Stickles Glitter Glue by Ranger

Does anyone know how you use this? I have 1, and have no idea - nothing on bottle - do just let it dry naturally?

That's what I've always done. Sometimes I use it right from the bottle to put down a line of glitter or a dot--other times I put it on my finger or something and smear it for a subtler effect. I love the stuff!

I use it right out of the bottle - I like it in dots or in lines. I have used it to add "ice" on the snow of "Lovely as a Tree" or to fill in the middle of flowers (just a dot).

That's a great idea - filling in the middle of a flower :-)

I couldn't help myself...I bought them online and I figured for what the shipping was going to be, I might as well get them all! Hee, hee!
(They were a bargain too, so I figured what the heck!)

I love the stickles. It's amazing what a little glitz can do for a card.
I sometimes put it directly from the bottle to the paper.
If I just want a little touch, I put it on a piece of scrap cardstock, and pick it up with a toothpick, then apply it. It's nice for highlights on small things, such as the Rubberstamptapestry. I use the crystal the most, but do like the colors, too.

I have about 20 colours, and love them all! I like to do the buttons on snowmen, snowmen's noses, insides of flowers, to define snowbanks, on snowflakes, inside hearts, inside stars ... and so much more! Stickles look great everywhere!

I love stickles too! I have about 30 colors and find that a little does go a long way!

I often will just make dots with them or will write over a word. It really makes a great difference in adding a little bling!

I have to say that I don't understand the Stickles. I think I might be missing something, though. How are they better than just using a little glue pen and glitter? My glue pen dries a lot faster than it sounds like they do . . .

Actually, it doesn't take long at all for the stickles to dry. It's just a very convenient accessory to have. As for me, I would much rather use a little bit of stickles. I'm a neat freak and glitter tends to cling to everything. But... to each her own. We are all individuals and whatever works for you & makes you happy. I LOVE my stickles!!! :p

That's a good point - glitter drives me nuts with how messy it is. I've never worked with Stickles, so I didn't think about that. I wonder if anywhere near me sells them or if I would have to order online.

Sibilance7,
I bought mine from Misterart.com...they were less than $2 per bottle. (That's why I ended up with all the colors.)

I think once you start using the Stickles you will be come addicted! I still use glitter as well but the Stickles are just so darn easy but if I want a really concentrated amount of sparkles I will go with glitter but the messy part I totally agree with - I have a small fine paintbrush that I use to "schooch" the lost pieces over to the glue and then when it's dry I use it to dust it off.

I love stickles! I have about 15 bottles and have them in a box within arms reach, since I used them on almost every card I make. There is always something that needs a little glitter highlight!

I find that stickles can be much more subtle than glue pen and glitter, you can just add a small amount of sparkle if you want, or apply it thick for a little more bling.

I do wish they would come up with a faster drying formula though!!

IMHO you can never have too many Stickles!!! LOL! I find them so much easier to use than glue and glitter. Not so messy. Easy to apply. I always just use it straight from the bottle and then move the tip of the bottle to spread it around. It does take some patience for it to dry if you use a little too much though. Love, love, love this product!

I love Stickles. Way easier than a glue pen and glitter. I have many colours, plus some of the Ice Stickles. I use it out of the bottle or on my finger. I am doing Disney layouts and I believe magic is everywhere. And where there is magic there is stickles!!!

has anyone had a problem with their stickles getting clogged? I have a few that just will not squeeze anything out of the tube.. they are new, and i have tried sticking a needle in the spout to clear any blockage but it doesn't seem to be working.. the bottles are squishy, so the stuff does not seem to be dry and hard.. Any ideas??

I've stuck a needle in the spout and it has cleared it. My first bottle I opened I bought I didn't do that but cut the tip a little -- but I cut too much off because when I squeezed to use too much comes out. So I've learned not to cut too much off. As I use the bottle and less and less remains at the bottom of the bottle squeezing the bottle does not allow anything to come out so I store those upside down in a plastic lipstick holder that has holes for the tube of lipstick. I have four bottles stored that way. Hey, this lipstick holder from the Mary Kay (freebie) line comes in handy.

Stickles are not nearly as messy as working with glue and glitter. I love them and Diamond is my very favorite of all. I got many many of my bottles on Frugalities for $1.28 each. They are great for Stickles.
Blessings.

thanks for the tips, the lipstick holder is a great idea. I love all the colors they come in. I found them on scrapbookpal.com for $1.75 each, but if your order is over $25.00 shipping is free.
