Default stamping mist...????

Isn't there a recipe out there for making stamping mist or Staz-on cleaner?

Because the Search engine isn't working, I can't check for it.

Thanks for the help

stamping mist and staz on cleaner are very different. I use my old stampin mist bottle and just put water in it and drop of dish washing liquid. i think folks add glycerin, but really I've been using this for 4 years and my stamps look fine to me! That's for dye ink.

for the really tough stuff, I use another cleaner, not the staz on cleaner

The recipe I saw had glycerin and baby shampoo and a few other things added to water. I use just water most of the time but I would like to condition my stamps too.

I did a search and found this in an old thread:

I found the recipe.

Some people dilute this even more and said it works.

2 Tablespoons glycerin
8 oz. distilled water
1 teaspoon baby wash

You can find glycerin in the health & beauty aids section of the store. If you don't find it, ask them.

I've been using this recipe for a while now; it probably cost less than $5 for all the ingredients and so far I've refilled my Stampin Mist bottle many times over!

Here's one I found awhile back on one of the posts. The Rose water is supposed to help condition the stamps but I would guess the glycerin would as well...

2 Cups distilled water
2 T Rose Water (purchased at health store)
1 T Baby wash (generic brand is fine)

If anyone knows how to make the Staz-On cleaner I would definitely like that one!!!

Default Stampin Mist

I just use Simple Green mixed with water. Works for me!

Default stamp cleaner

I would like to know how to make the staz on cleaner too. Anybody??? I have been using a mixture of plain ol' tap water and a few drops of Murphy's Oil soap in a small spray bottle for years to clean my stamps and they look good to me. Now I'm thinking that I should try adding a drop of glycerin to the mix.
