So while looking for nests, I found this company on oh my crafts called lifestyle crafts that has a lot of the new nestles? Anyone heard of them? Are they better than the dies from Spellbinders?
I have a lot of both. Lifestyle Crafts bought out Quickutz. I love the Quickutz dies except for one crazy thing.... I have gotten some pretty bad cuts from handling the dies. Evidently I have really thin skin.
I have never gotten cut from my Spellbinder dies.
IMO the Spellbinders Nestabilities are far superior to the QK/Lifestyle Crafts, and I do have both. Spellbinders shapes are much more detailed. The LC shapes seem almost 'primitive' in comparison. And - you get that lovely embossing with Spellbinders. No comparison at all. I'll always love the older QK fonts, but I've stopped purchasing anything new from them. I think Spellbinders nesting dies have more options. The labels are wonderful!
I've got quite a few Spellbinders dies and LOVE them! I've had the opportunity to use Lifestyle Crafts Nesting dies and they do a great job. They are a bit more flimsy than Spellbinders, but I've not had an issue with them breaking or warping. And the Lifestyle Crafts Nesting dies give you WAY more bang for your buck as far as the # of dies per package.

I like the Spellbinders but they are costly and you don't get as many options; however if the Spellbinders give you a better emboss and image, I guess i will go that route.
I haven't tried them myself, but watched a video about them. A couple of good things about the Lifestyle Crafts are they are much larger than the nesties, so you get more dies and larger sizes in comparison to the nesties. Also, what you see is what it cuts. It is much easier to line them up on your paper, because they cut right to the edge of the die (whereas the nesties, you have to kind of guess where it is going to cut because of the finished edge).
I also think the Lifestyle dies are thinner and a bit more flimsy but they do still cut nicely. I have the circle sets from both companies and like that Lifestyle has more sizes in their set.
I have both and love them both. I love alphabets and Lifestyle/QK has so many options it is incredible. The alphabets cut great and the price if very resonable.
I like the nesties for shapes, especially the labels. It is nice that they emboss as well, but I find it a pain since I have to make a huge sandwich and run them through twice. Once to cut and once to emboss.
I had not heard of these before, so of course I had to go check them out.
I like that on some of the fancy labels, like this one, there is a matching "mat" size, so that you can create a border.
With the Spellbinders nesties, the only option is to go up to the next size, which is too much border sometimes, or sometimes because of the shape doesn't look very even.
I think I will just have to order some...

I just found these in our stores today. I'm trying the nesting ovals, there are 13 die cuts with this set. I'm wondering if we have to use repositionable tape to do more then one die cut at a time. I guess i should look for a you tube video. they also have the cutting die swirl rose, http://lifestylecrafts.com/roses.html
and
I think this splash die cut is so neat: Search Results
