Default Spellbinder dies

Has anyone tried Spellbinder dies with the Cuttlebug?

I bought one to give it a try and it worked. You have to run the paper through twice to get it to work with the embossing. To cut the stack I used was plate A, plate c, die, paper, plate b. To emboss I used plate A, Plate B, Die, Paper, BISK embossing mat, Mousepad, cardboard shim, plate B. The embossing is tricky. I had to play around to get it to work well.

Thank you for letting me know that the spellbinder dies work with the Cuttlebug. I found a couple of dies I wanted. Can you tell me what is a BISK embossing mat? Is this similar to the one that comes with the Ellison texture plates set?

It's probably the same thing - the big impressions starter kit. I think it's from Ellison. It's for the big shot. I got it on-line at paperdreams.com after SCS'ers mentioned it. It came with double sided embossing plates. I think I saw A.C. Moore had a set too of Sizzix ones. Sizzix and Ellison are the same company so it should work out if you can't find the BISK. Or play around with mouse pads or plumbing rubber from Lowes. It was a little tricky at first. I only have one wizard die because I wasn't sure it would work. Once you get the sandwich thickness correct the embossing is nice. Good luck.
