I just ordered the whole set from amazon, and I love them. I don't have any thing to compare them to as I don't have any copics, but I just did two cards and they blended beautifully. I just could not afford copics.
Thanks for all the replies. I just ordered a 3-pack blending set of Chromatix markers by American Crafts for $9.99. I'll let you know whether I like them or not when I try them.
Are these sold individually, or do I have to buy a set? Where is the best place to buy them? Thanks!
Hello! These markers are usually sold in sets. AC Moore & Joanns sell them for about $15.00 a set. If not on sale you can use a coupon, which makes them very reasonable. The sets come 6 to a package, and are sold in color sets, reds, blues, greens, etc. This is how I purchased mine and I love em!!! I have a lot of copics as well but have not purchased any more of them in a long time because they are so expensive. You can also use both of these brands together.
I just ordered a set off E bay and I can hardly wait to try them. I have watched a number of comparison videos with Copics and most of the girls are quite happy with them, the only complaint that i noticed is that the copics have a brush tip which is easier to use in smaller detail areas, but my understanding is that Crafters is aware of this and is hoping to bring out new tips in the future so you will be able to replace the nibs at a later time. The price difference makes it worthwhile as Copics are raising their prices again and it is totally out of my budget .
I purchased the Noir's when Crafter's Companion was running the Splitcoast special a few months back and I am still torn between them and the Copics. I am using Neenah paper but am wondering would they work better with the copic blending paper. Let me know what ya'll think.
Thanks for all the input, ladies. My Chromatix markers are due to arrive today, so I'll let you know how I like them. I saw the Spectrum Noir markers on sale at A.C. Moore for $7.99/pack, which I think is a great price. They also had the Chromatix singles for $3.49 each. Definitely better than Copics, which are way too expensive for my budget - and going up in price.
