Anybody have them and love them? I heard from a friend that they are very easy to blend. Also, if anyone knows of where I can get them for a decent price?
I was just looking at these online this morning and put them on my wish list. (Simon Says Stamp has some, but I have never bought from them.) I would like to try one on my Christmas tags this year.
I saw them in sets on HSN last night for their Craft Day and the lady used three colors to blend a big shimmery background that was awesome. I liked that they have more colors than Wink of Stella. Could be something to add to my wish list.
I have the full set and they are blend-able for me. they are similar to the wink of stella in a way that you have to put the pen together to use them by removing a plastic ring. they are also not as opaque as the wink of stella (colors) that I have. So, I do like that part.
ETA I get emails from crafters companion so, I bought mine direct from them when they were having a special so? ( I dunno about how the prices compare at other places)
I saw them on HSN and now I want them. Price at HSN is 12 markers (2 are clear) for $49.99; they have 2 different sets. Amazon is ~$15 for 3 but I don't think I found all the same colors.
there is a set of 3 of the clear glitter ones at Joann stores
I hope it's at my local JoAnn's - that sounds perfect! Although I have been tempted by the set at HSN, it is a little beyond my budget right now. A little much for something I've never used. But the set at JoAnn's would be very nice to have

I got the full sets in the case from HSN. I had a coupon for 20% off, so it was a deal I couldn't resist!!! Sometimes I'll get their coupons, and look for something I can't live without!!!
I agree with one of the prior posts, they work like Wink of Stella, but had so many more colors in the two sets. Plus, since I use the "Clear" pen the most, I liked the fact I was getting extra clear ones. Now I find myself doing lots of extra doodling or writing with them as well. Well worth my discounted investment!!!
If they have that stupid plastic ring, there's no way I'll get them. Tried to put 2 Wink of Stella pens together and wrecked them. Don't know what part of it I didn't understand, but I'm sure not wasting more money. What do they need that ring for, anyway??
I couldn't resist the curiosity to see if these were really different from the Wink of Stella pens, so I picked up a set a Joanns with a 40% off coupon (regularly 17.99 for a set of three clear ones).
There is a ring to remove, but you don't have to take the pen apart to do it. The ring is split and very easy to remove. Then you just twist the nib down (take the cap off first!) till its screwed on tight.
The sparkle is pretty comparable to the Wink of Stella, but the clear Stella is a little more of a gold sparkle and the clear Spectrum is more of a silvery sparkle. The difference is subtle, but it's there. It is more noticeable over darker colors.
I don't have any colors other than clear in either brand, so I can't help with questions of blendability.
I have found that Spectrum Noir markers as a whole are FANTASTIC. I am a SU demo and was very disappointed in the Blendabilities. Another plus is they are so much less expensive than COPIC, the closest in quality. I found my Spectrum Noir markers at A.C.Moore ( a local craft store). Lucky to find them 6/$7.99. Another place to go for them is Crafter's Companion online.
I was interested in these after seeing them on HSN. I just got a big set of Spectrum Noirs, though, and I have lots of Wink of Stella... I thought maybe I could just color with the SN and then put clear WoS on top. I tried it with several different colors and it worked great! Happy I saved myself a bit of $!
I have several of the SN brush pens and I like them. They are not as opaque as Winks and the colors are very rich. They also seem to stay wet longer so blending is easier. I would assume the brush pen formula is the same as the pens but I prefer a brush tip instead of a marker tip.
