Default Specialty Papers

Having wrestled recently with DCWV glitter paper, I've been more aware than before of beautiful specialty papers on the market. On a thread in General Stamping, people discussed what they're trending away from, and I was thinking about how I'm trending toward specialty papers. I came across this video: DCWV Inc. New Release November 2011.wmv - YouTube through the veggie board. Talk about specialty papers, wow! DCWV just came out with adhesive backed fabric paper, jeweled papers, and chalkboard papers. Some of these stacks are gorgeous.

I posted on that thread. I was one of the girls who said I was trending away from decorator paper. I will never ever trend away from specialty paper. I love all that kind of paper and stock up on it. I use it constantly. Give me fabric paper, jeweled paper, glitter paper, shimmer paper and even mulberry paper. I am the happiest girl in the world. My craft room is full of paper like that.

I still do buy designer paper but in individual sheets. I only have one small 12x12 box full of DP. I hardly use it in stamping. I use my DP with altered art and my die cut creations. Even though I am trending away from it in my die cut creations.

More and more I make my own specialty paper from DP, and I'm haunting Dick Blick's 8-1/2 x 11 handmade paper packs from India. Those stacks in the video I linked above are the first I've been tempted to buy in a long time!
