Well, it is the holidays. I'm sure it's pretty minimally staffed. Not an excuse...just an explanation. Like I said, if it hasn't arrived within 7 to 10 business days, then I'd start asking questions. I never got an email saying it was on its way. It just showed up at my doorstep.
I got my Slice for Christmas, and I have to say I absolutely LOVE it! It is such a fun toy to play with I only have the one card, but there is also another one being sent in the mail, the Vintage Findings card. I have had way too much fun with my Slice
I am absolutely loving my lil' pink Slice! Now if only I could convince my kids that it's MY toy and not just for cutting for them!!! I'm glad they love 'making' with me, but they love it just as much as I do and with three of them (the 4th is only 9 months old and not really into it!) I can barely squeeze a cut in for me!
Don't get me wrong--I love my Slice, but it just seems to me that they should not be putting in on their packaging that the card "INCLUDES slice SPEED BOOST upgrade, . . . and PC compatible" if it is in their FUTURE plans.

Can't wait... I just ordered the other day Vintage Elements and got a free design card with my order over at Scrap Mart. Buy one get one free MM Design Card. Can't wait to get my two new design cards... Especially the Vintage Elements for my little girl. That will bring me up to 7 or 8 design cards now. woo-hoo!
If you had to pick the top 2 cartridges you own, to keep which ones would you hold onto?
That is a tough question... Right now I would keep my NoteWorthy design card and probably the Vintage Elements design card... just waiting for it to come in the mail... I do love all the design cards I got though. Think Pink is another card I love too. I got that with my Pink Slice in with the Basic Elements cards. One nice thing about those two coming in with my Pink Slice kit are... they were both MS cards.
I kinda hate to admit this but I've had my pink slice for close to a month and hadn't tried it yet until tonight. I've followed this thread closely and used the Krylon repositionable spray instead of the glue and tried a couple of cuts on the Think Pink card and it cut perfectly! One thing that I saw on a Making Memories video is that the first time you put a MS+ card in and turn it on, it will beep three times saying it installed the speedboost on the machine. Mine didn't beep. Is that because the pink ones already have that feature on them? Thanks to everyone who contributes to this thread! I don't know what I would do without splitcoast!! Thanks, Angel

yes, i think the pink machine already has the speed boost set into it.
next time you put a design card in the Slice, press the Menu button, press the right arrow button to highlight "settings" and press select.press the double right arrow key once and it should display what speed you are set on. you can change it if you wish.

I would call them. I called twice and had an answer within a few minutes each time. The time zone shouldn't keep you from calling. They open at 7:00 MST. I submitted an issue twice before I called. I never did here back via email. The girl told me calling is the best way to get something resolved.
i've found the same to be true....i had to call to get my issues resolved and immediately had a trouble ticket to send mine in; i await a returned fixed machine or new machine....i'm told its most likely i will get a new machine....i'll let you know

So my new Slice got here about an hour ago. I was so surprised, they sent me the entire kit. Included in the box were about 10 items that were to cover my postage to them. I will get it out later tonight to play with. I will let you know how it goes.
Pollybear, which card is it that you are having trouble with? What trouble are you having? I know there was a huge batch of bad cards with some of the newer cartridges (Home Sweet Home, Jungle, etc). My LSS recently received their replacements of them so if that's one of the cartridges, definitely send it back and ask for a replacement.
I keep reading that MM has great customer service, but that hasn't been my experience. I registered my Slice & asked them to send me a calibration card (my machines a G6 series) to correct a problem I was having with it not cutting straight lines properly. They gave me a ticket number & e-mailed me, but I NEVER rec'd the calibration card. That was months ago. I hauled out my Slice today & the problem with straight lines seems to have gotten worse. Plus, it's not cutting through cardstock, no matter what I try. So I've sent them another support ticket request. I hope I don't get ignored this time.
Does anyone know, did they not mail me a calibration card because I live in Canada?
Sadly my Slice goes back to MM for some fixing. I had lots of issues with it, and finally nothing worked. You know the circle where the x is to show you where it starts to cut, it was cutting out that circle. I called the very nice lady at MM and she gave me a ticket number, and told me to send it back to them.
My desk looks very empty without my Slice I cannot wait to get it back!
