With all of the new cards they have, what other cards do you want them to come out with?

Hi Girls! I accidentally bought two Vintage Findings!! Ugh! Can't return them, so I was wondering if anyone wants to trade? I'd love to trade for Basics 2, Spring or Big Kids. Anyone? Straight across - each pays their own shipping (USPS Priority, Delivery Confirmation). Mine is in brand new, never been used, still in the box condition and purchased from a reputable Making Memories vendor.

Vintage Findings is a cool card.

I just saw the Summer design card a few days ago. I was on whyslice.com and sometimes when you look under 'design cards' it won't show up. I saw it in the 'new' section.

How many of you are getting the hands off system? I'm going back and forth. At first I thought I HAD to have it. Now I'm weighing the benefits of the new system vs. having a new design card instead. Back and forth. What about you guys?

I like several of the new cards. Here are my must haves:
Baby Design Card
Happy Trails Design Card
Parties Design Card
Paws & Claws Design Card
Remember This Design Card
Words & Expressions Family Design Card

I will send the list to my sweet friend who gets them for me wholesale. I will also be getting the hands free kit.

Thanks for letting us know that there was some new stuff coming.
blessings.

Has anybody seen the hands off system for sale anywhere yet? I mean at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I know some of the online stores have it for pre-order, but I'd rather just drive down and get it if I can.

No, sorry. Both the HL and M"s coupons exclude Cricut and SLice products.

I "think" you can at Joann's but not sure on that. We don't have a Joanns here so ...

I've had my Cricut for about a year (a $99 purchase at Michaels!!!!! Woohoo!) and I love it, but when I saw this baby, I immediately started regretting my Cricut. Cricut cartridges are so expensive compared to Slice cartridges! I missed it on sale a few weeks ago at Michaels (40% off!!! D: I'm so sad!) and am avidly rechecking Michaels in hopes that it goes on sale again sometime soon!

But my biggest question, is it worth having both? The Cricut has a big foot print, I know, and the Slice a decidedly smaller one. But both have different cartridges, and I can't help but wonder if I'd be better off keeping both, or selling my Cricut to buy the Slice. :/

So basically is the Slice really what I've built it up to be, or should I just stick with what I've got?

Can anyone tell me where you are purchasing your cartridges? Who has the better pricing. Any online source better than the other.

Thanks

As you can see, we here all LOVE our Slice! But that's not to say that you can't have both. Many on here have, and use, both their Cricut and their Slice. I had both and got rid of my Cricut. I just tended to always reach for my Slice, preferred to use my Slice, and my Cricut was taking up too much space. But if you have the room, and enjoy the cartridges you have now, then why not keep it? It's all up to you and your preferrences.

I love my Slice and my E!

Craft-E-Corner has Slice on sale for $99.99 and if you sign up for her newsletter, you get a 10% disc code e-mailed to you that you can use and they always offer free shipping. They're an auth dealer also so no issues with that. I'm not an emp or anything, just a happy shopper with them.

http://www.craft-e-corner.com/

I don't really think they have any better prices on design cards though. I've gotten the best buys for those off E-Bay.

The new cards are coming in at $49.99, that's not all that cheap to me when you consider they don't have a tremendous amount of designs on them. I still like my Slice though.

Honestly, sometimes you can get GREAT deals on ebay. Other than that, I get them at Hobby Lobby when they go on sale. There are some great sites listed in this thread, too. I know I won't remember them all, but here goes:

I bought the Cricut Expression a little over a year, and I bought the Slice about a month ago. I was going to sell my Cricut, then I started debating...and now I'm keeping both. They both have their place.

Large cuts for scrapbook pages, or using with SCAL is great for the cricut. But for a small cut, and especially for a single small cut, the Slice is great!

As for getting the Slice on sale, check out Craft-e-Corner. I got my Pink Slice there for 157.00 (I received 10% for joining their mailing list).

They have the blue Slice for 99.00. Not sure if you can use the 10% off for joining. I also believe they are offering free shipping.

Thanks for the list. I bought Words and Expressions yesterday off ebay for $21.50. I've just gotten my slice so I'm excited to use it.

I do believe I must have Remember This, Nursery Rhymes, and absolutely positively can't wait to get my hands on Bon Appetit!
I've never been particularly drawn to the Cricut (except the Expression which is too big for my space). With the Slice and the Nestabilities used in my Cuttlebug, I feel like I can do whatever I need to.

Ladies..I have a brand new Card Basics 2 in unopened package I would love to sell. I purchased two in error. I would be happy with $19.99 plus $2.00 for shipping if anyone is interested.
Thanks ladies.

I also got rid of my Cricut and 36 cartridges to get the Slice. I dont regret it a bit. The footprint in my stamp area is so much smaller. I am VERY happy with the decision. What a cute little tool it is.

I FINALLY bought Just Chillin' yesterday. I'm planning on buying one or two cards every month until I have the ones I want. I'm trying to balance the purchases with saving money for my kindle.

I have both the Cricut and the Slice. I've found that each has their place and purpose in my stamp room. Although, my Cricut currently makes more cuts for my kids than for me! I have the Paper Dolls cartridges and they LOVE them. I like having the Cricut for big cuts...still waiting for PTI to have their templates available in svg format! I initially thought I'd use an outside software (like Scal or Make the Cut) more than cartridges, but I do like the ease of use with the cartridges...and they can be found for cheap on ebay. I like that my Cricut can cut larger than 4".

Anyway. Love my little Slice and yes, I will be getting the hands free...I don't have the 12x12 mat and figure it'll be worth it. Besides...I almost always have my kids "helping" me...the youngest likes to sit on my lap while I create...sure makes it fun!

Has anyone seen the Slice that doesn't have to be held? I saw it in the back of PaperCrafts magazine I think.

It's the same Slice. It's just a collar that goes around it that works with a new magnetic mat.

I'm soooo excited. I received to day the pink signature handbad, with the toolkit and card case with it to match the Think Pink Slice. Everything is all packed up and ready for crop on Saturday.

I almost went and bought the blue one. My daughter told me to wait, because I would be kicking myself later if I got the blue instead of waiting. She reminded me how much I wanted the pink.

I'm so glad I listened to her, because that OCD in me would have kicked in and I most likely would be replacing it later with the pink. Although, I think she had her own agenda. She probably wanted me to get the pink, because she already has the blue Slice set.

ok ladies...I played with my slice quite a bit last night. I have some questions for the more seasoned users....
1. How do you clean your glass mat? I used the glue provided the first time and it was a nightmare to scrape it all off...must be an easier way. I used hot water and soap.
2. Second time around I used the spray repositionable stuff. How do you clean that off?
Any tips would be much appreciated. I was a bit frustrated with the cuts that would not come off the mat but will try again this weekend.
blessings.,

I've always just cleaned the mat with hot water and soap as well and find that it comes off very easily. I've not tried the spray stuff yet.
Do you have the little spatula for the Slice? I find that an invaluable tool to getting the cuts off the mat. I didn't think it would make that big of a difference, but it truly does for me.

I cleaned the glass mat off last night after having it prepped for a few weeks. Just held it under warm/hot water and rubbed the glue off. Was very easy to clean. I didn't use any soap and I didn't scrap it before running under the water.

I'm not sure about the repositional stuff.

I cleaned mine with a nylon scrubby and some Goo B Gone. Then I just washed it with some dish soap and water.

I use the spray on stuff but I clean my glass off every time I finish for the day and just respray it the next time I get it out to use.

I was not ever able to use the glue that came with it in the little tube, it was dried up when I got it or it froze or something.

I swear I think stuff sticks hard to this than the cricut mat. I have also found if I stick paper on it two or three times before I start using it, it is a little less "bonding" shall we say. Kinda takes the initial stick out of it.

I also think the cricut spatula works way better than the slice one. The cricut one I have is a lot thinner than the slice one.

I only use warm water to clean off the glue or the repositionable spray. Just rubs off. Whether you use the spray or the glue, be sure to allow it to dry to a tacky touch before using. Doesn't take long. Also, be sure to apply a light coat. Too much and you'll never get that paper off the mat! Too little and nothing will stick. Definitely get the spatula!

I have the pink spatula. I will wash my mat and try again...with a lighter coat of spray adhesive...maybe let it dry longer just to be sure it is completely dry. Thanks for the quick answers ladies...
