I bought my first electronic cutter a few months ago and it was the Sizzix eClips. Did you get SCAL or eCAL? I thought the eCAL was specifically designed for that machine. This is a whole new ball game for me so I could be confused.

I found the machine easy enough to use for an absolute beginner like me. The software was like learning to drive a car - I made simple errors in judgement that were easy enough to identify where I was going wrong.

My primary reason for buying the eClips was for the Stamp2Cut feature using Tim Holtz stamps. For a couple of years I've been wanting a machine that could cut out stamped images, and while I've been told that other machnes could do that noone ever showed me how it could be done. Mr Holtz comes along with a complete package and I'm sold. It helped of course that I had some of his stamps too.

I don't use the machine all the time, maybe once a fortnight, so I'm still pretty rusty with how to do some things. The more I use it the more it'll become second nature to me I'm sure. When I do use it I do a bunch of things at once. It does a great job of cutting and I love the detail and accuracy of the cut with Stamp2Cut.
