Default Scor-Pal Mat

I don't know what took me so long to get around to using this gem. I bought it a couple of years ago, from some very nice people at a stamping expo, convinced that I would use it constantly. Then it sat there (I'm sure none of you has ever had this happen, right?!).

I finally put it to use this weekend, and it was fabulous! It served as a work surface that I put my card components on and could then move just the one item if I needed to cut more paper or have something else directly in front of me (I have a relatively small desk surface); I used the raised edges of the Scor-Pal underneath the mat to help me align things with more confidence, the grid helped me with some measurements without needing to take out another tool, and I just really enjoyed it -- I can see it becoming a regular part of my cardmaking adventures. I do wish it didn't have the funky smell, which leads me to believe it's not the most environmentally-friendly item, but what's done is done.

I've been thinking about getting the new, smaller version and selling my Scor-Pal, but this experience has convinced me of the value of having both.

I love my Scor-Mat, one thing that I definitely am glad that I purchased!

I have both, scor-pal and the new scor-buddy (great for cards, and has the 1/8" and 1/4");
love the mat as a workspace;
also can move all card components together with the mat to another table when it's dinnertime!
