Default scal or make the cut?

I have design studio now, but am interested in buying either Sure Cuts A Lot or Make the Cut. My question is has anyone used both programs and can they shed some light on the use of these programs. Which is more user friendly? I don't want to use what's left of my life trying to learn a hard program! Thanks in advance.

I have had Make the Cut since it came out. It is very easy to use - much easier than CDS in fact. Also there is a very active and extremely helpful forum for users. You can download a free trial and play with it. The trial version will cut a slash through your design, but you use it to see just how easy the program is.

The MTC forum also has many videos and other tutorials to get you started. Here's the link

I haven't used SCAL, but I enthusiastically second the vote for MTC!!!! The developer is continually refining/improving/updating the software, and what started out as a useful, easy tool, has become a dream come true! I can cut virtually anything I want to, and I have bought ONE cartridge! Sweet!

I have used both and MTC is so much better. I find it easier to use, and it is much more accurate than SCAL. Plus, it seems that upgrades are free with MTC, but that is not the case with SCAL.
