Someone said they were going out of business a while back. I hesitated ordering from them. They always have such good deals. I might have to pay them a visit since they're still around.

I saw the same thing yesterday on MSN, but I don't know if it was a rumor (you know, one of those headlines designed to draw you in) or a fact. Might want to do some checking ....
I ordered from them earlier this week and my package is scheduled for delivery today. (I really like the delivery via Fed Ex. That way I can track my packages progress.)
I have always gotten great service from them and only had one backordered item that was out of stock.
It was on AOL yesterday that they were going out of business.

"Ritz Camera Files Bankruptcy
The nations largest retail photography chain has today filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Ritz has about 800 photo stores in 40 states, operating as Ritz Camera, Wolf Camera, Kits Cameras, Inkleys and The Camera Shops. It also operates 130 Boaters World stores. The company, which has about 6,400 employees nationwide.
In its initial filings, the company is seeking interim court approval of a credit facility of up to $85 million with existing lenders. According to Weinsweigs affidavit, the company would be unable to meet payroll and other expenses without the interim financing approval and would be forced to shut down.
If Ritz Camera is unable to secure the needed credit from the bankruptcy court then Ritz Camera will likely go out of business very quickly."
Doesn't sound good. i found lots of articles saying they were going under. And their division of boaters world is gone for sure. I just typed in Ritz Camera going out of business...
Oh man, that's sad! I ordered some glossy cardstock from them and their shipping cost was only $6.95 (which I thought was a deal). I was going to go back and order some nesties just because they are on sale over there. Shoot!
