Default Ribbons and Spools

I have seen photos in the past where people have wrapped their ribbon onto some sort of spool and put them in a clear glass jar. I am sure I can get a pretty jar at Hobby lobby. But what have people used for spools? And where would I get them?

the ones i have seen are the old fashioned style clothes pins...

I used clothes pins from Walmart. I got the jars from Target.

I do this and love it. Clothepins from $1 and jars from walmart.
