Here is a picture of the display board! I was lucky enough to get both kinds but don't have a picture yet.

I guess it doesn't help that you're not alone, does it? They were sold out by the time my pal got to the Memento Mall. I'm just tellin' myself that they are pretty simple looking, and could probably be made fairly easily, if I could just find a similar type of bead cap.

I think a lot of girls must have been caught up in the frenzy, as you said Betsy, they look easy to make.

I make jewelrey as well as stamp and did think you could possibly make these. But, in all my years of stocking up on beads and such, I never saw caps that large - or in the nice brushed nickel. My favorite part about them is the logo charm (SU!) that dangles just below the ribbon - in colors that match the ribbon. If someone runs into a source that does the brushed nickel or will make logo charms, let us all know!

Wouldn't it be a copyright infringement if we had someone manufacture our own SU! charm?

There is a link on the demo side for the bell caps. They can be purchased at Joann's in silver or gold.

If it makes y'all feel any better . . . think about it . . . those little dudes will be dirty and ratty lookin' in no time. My keys go everywhere with me, and are often stuffed in my purse. It would not take that pretty little bunch of ribbon very long before it was looking like my dog chewed it up! I could've bought some of those when I was at Convention last week, but decided not to for those very reasons! So, don't feel bad if you didn't get one!

Posted this on the demo side, but thought it's great info for customers, too! ;)

All ribbons are about 4-1/4 to 4-1/2" long.

Pink sampler:
Groovy Guava from Sherbet Ribbon Originals
Purely Pomegranate polka-dot from Sherbet Ribbon Originals
Regal Rose from Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals
So Saffron flower print from Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals
Whisper White rick-rack from Beachfront Ribbon Originals
Bravo Burgundy 5/8" grosgrain
Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain
Groovy Guava double-stitched grosgrain
Purely Pomegranate double-stitched grosgrain
Pretty in Pink taffeta
Caramel gingham
Light Pink gingham
So Saffron 1/4" grosgrain
Bravo Burgundy 1/4" grosgrain
Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain-- with pink logo charm sewn on end

Green sampler:
Mellow Moss from Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals
Celery/White stripe from District Ribbon Originals
Sage shadow (?) wide grosgrain from District Ribbon Originals
Blue Bayou squares print from District Ribbon Originals
Soft Sky-edged from Sherbet Ribbon Originals
River Rock (or Kraft?) wavy ribbon from Beachfront Ribbon Originals
Old Olive narrow satin from Theater Ribbon Originals
Certainly Celery 5/8" grosgrain
Blue Bayou double-stitched grosgrain
Soft Sky double-stitched grosgrain
Bashful Blue taffeta
Mellow Moss taffeta
Light Blue gingham
Mellow Moss 1/4" grosgrain
Bashful Blue 1/4" grosgrain-- with blue logo charm sewn on end

Just measured and the cap is 15mm, a hard-to-find size, but I did see a few as I was browsing jewelry sites. (This one is 18mm http://www.artbeads.com/bbc0024.html)

The bell-shaped cap has a hole in the top. A 1" to 1-1/2" eye pin (http://www.artbeads.com/ss-ep23.html) is threaded first through a sequin then through the end of each ribbon-- just poked through, nothing special done. Then it goes up through the cap and is bent back down to make a loop. A small split ring (http://www.artbeads.com/ss-sr04.html) is attached to the loop and the keychain.

My keys go in my pocket and I don't carry a purse, so mine is on the bulletin board in my stamp room, out of the reach of my ribbon chewing monster cat!

Thank you Belinda! I think the ribbon sampler would be a great back-to-school treat for my demo. (who is also my best friend) to hang on her SU! bag. Thank you again!!

I thought this would be a supply type thing that we would take with us to Workshops and things to let customers look at the ribbon..
Why don't many of us write to SU! and express our interest in purchasing these puppies and maybe they could have more made to sell as a supply item.. I would LOVE them but think it would be pretty expensive to get samples of each style ribbon.. Let's all write to SU!!
It can't hurt to ask..

I did a ribbon swap and was trying to figure our how to display them because I never really liked the 2 inch pieces attached to a piece of CS. I'll do each ribbon type as a set - this would be an excellent idea for SU and I'm off to tell them, too. Each demo could purchase one ring of each set - it would be a very useful business tool.

Belinda - thanks for taking the time. You are always a big help!!
