Retired Stampin' Up Sets
Hello, Can someone help me?
I was recentrly given some old retired sets by a friend of mine.
They are not labeled and I am trying to find the names of these stamp sets.
They are dated 1995 and 1996.
One set is:
a door with several wreathes, door hangings and a cat on a rug and a saying, A Friend is one who opens the door to home and heart.
The other is:
a country wagon, teddy bear, wrapped presents, ragety dolls
And:
a sewing stamp set
Thank you for your help!

Well, I'll take a shot at it. My oldest Stampin' Up catalog is from 1999 so I looked in there. The only set that fits your description is a set called Wagon Journey. Originally, it was a set of 8, a teddy bear, a country wagon, wrapped presents, raggedy dolls, a single sunflower, a wooden heart, a balloon, and the saying "Happiness is in the Journey." Does this sound like your set? As for the others, there was nothing in the catalog that matched your description, but then again, I don't have anything before 1999. Sorry

The door one is "Home and Heart" (I have it.) It retired in 1999.
What does the sewing one look like? I could dig out my 1998-1999 catalog.

Thank you so much for your help. I just like to be able to put the names with the stamps.
The sewing set has a sewing basket, a tape measure border, and a stool next to a dress form. Not sure if this is a complete set.
The wagon one I have is not complete either but now I know what I have,
Thanks again

The sewing one is Fabric of Friendship. It came out in a 1999 supplement catalog, and it retired in 2001. It had 6 stamps. The 3 you don't have are a sentiment, and two little stamp: one with scissors and one with buttons. I have this set.

Thank you Alice. What is the sentiment from the Fabric of Friendship set?
I really appreciate it.

The sentiment is: "The fabric of friendship is stitched with love". Kind of sappy, but I like it.
And I just remembered, that I used the sentiment on a card I did in February for Virtual Stamp Night. Here is the card, if you want to see the sentiment. The needle and thread are part of the sentiment stamp.

thank you, I wish I had the sentiment to go with it, I like it too!
It looks like that is all that I am missing. I found the scissor and botton stamps in the bottom of the box. Here is my first use of the set...
