Default Recipe Box and Mini Clipboard

Hi All-
I have been driving myself crazy looking for an appropriate box to make a recipe box along with a mini clipboard to hole the recipe card. These 2 gifts are for my 6 bridesmaids IF I CAN JUST GET MY HANDS ON THE ITEMS!

I recently thought I found the stainless steel box from the SU catalog, but when they were shipped to me, they were a completely different box! I had to return them. I am frustrated, lost and very stressed out.

Does anyone know where I can get a recipe box like the ones in the gallery here? And the mini clipboard?
Please help me!
I really appreciate it,
Thank you very much!!!
:p Melissa

i have been looking for these also. Office max has brown 5x7 clipboards they come in a two pack I think for just a few bucks. The recipe box however is IMPOSSIBLE to find. I need them I order the receipe card set from the catalogue last week to make sets to sell at a craft fair in March, now I can not find the boxes!!!! AAAAAAAAgh! Can you tell I am a tiny bit frustrated?

I purchase mine at Robert's Crafts in Utah. They are made by Provo Craft. They come in different sizes. The size I buy fits a 4x6 recipe card and has enough height that if you want to add a tab on top, it fits perfect. I believe they are around $5.99 to $6.99 without a coupon.

Is there a place online for these? There was another thread about this same subject and all the steel recipe boxes started at $20 each.
When I search for tin recipe box all I get are cute antiques from the 40s and 50s.

Do you have a link from the gallery?

I have made recipe boxes from those tin lunchboxes. Is that what you are looking for?

The one so many people are now searching for is on page 105 in the SU catalog. Looks like stainless steel. No handle. Here is the photo PAGE 105

Hmmm, now why would SU use a product that they don't even sell?

I read somewhere that the recipe boxes are from The Container Store and are around $30 each.

Yep, and s/h is 8.95. Yikes! They are really cute though.
I did find a tin storage box at Joann's, it's a Joann craft essentials tin storage box for embellishments. It was 5.99 before the coupon, and it measures about 4-1/2 x 7. It was in the aisle with all the joann embellishments, way at the bottom of the shelf.

I bought these: Maya Road Coffee Break Tins because the handles are removable. And they're $3.50!
