Default Ranger Heat It Tool

I'm REALLY disappointed in my Ranger Heat It Tool. I started stamping about 10 years ago. After my heat embossing lesson, I ran right out and bought the Marvy product. About 4 months ago, after reading about how much everyone on here likes it, I bought the Ranger Heat It Tool. I loved that it didn't blow the embossing powder around. But last night, it died on me. How disappointing is that? It's not like it's in constant use.

I'm SO glad I didn't sell my Marvy in our recent trash & treasure sale at our local stamping store. At least I could finish the embossing on my Christmas cards.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Ranger product fizzling out after only 4 months?

I have the Ranger HeatIt and I LOVE it. I got my first one as a gift and used it for several years. It did finally 'die'...even smoked, but I used it way more than 4 months. I bought another one (it's much quieter than the Marvy one) and I've had it for several years. I might try contacting Ranger with your problem. Maybe they will replace it for you.

I've owned a number of heat guns and my Ranger Heat It is my "all time" favorite...I LOVE it! My original one has a crack in the barrel but it still works like a charm. As soon as they started making them again, I jumped on purchasing a new one.......so I now have two of them. I gave away all of my others ones, except my Marvy......but I ALWAYS reach for my Heat It!!!!

If I were you I would contact Ranger about your Heat It, because it's probably still under warranty!!!

I have mine a long time and never have a problem. Sounds like you got stuck with a lemon. I would think Ranger would replace it.

Also, please don't give up on the Heat It...it's honestly a wonderful heat gun. One of the things I like about is that I've never scorched a piece of paper with it (and I've had my 1st one for ten years now!) like I've done with the other heat guns I've owned....plus it does not blow things everywhere. Like I said in an earlier post...I LOVE my Heat It!!!

I got excellent news from Ranger today. They're going to send me a new Heat It tool. How's that for fantastic customer service?!?! I'm tickled.

Thanks for posting this good news!!! I just know you are going to absolutely love your new one....I think the one you have that they are replacing was that "One bad apple in the barrel"!!! Please let us know how your new one does!

Mine has died three times. The first two times I plugged it in (wishing hoping, praying...lol) like a month later it worked again for awhile. It was the weirdest thing ever....I tried a couple of hours after it died thinking it got too hot, and tried multiple outlets - no luck .....whay it worked a month later...weird weird weird.

It has not worked again after this last time it died.
