Default A question about inkless photo printers.

Has anyone used an inkless photo printer? Do you love/hate it?

I'm wanting to print some small photos at home, but know I'll be doing it infrequently so I was thinking this might be the way to go about it.

I've been looking at Pandigital PANPRINT01 Zero Ink Portable Color Photo Printer
Amazon.com: Pandigital PANPRINT01 Zero Ink Portable Color Photo Printer: Electronics

Thanks for your opinions & suggestions.

I have an old Kodak Easyshare photo printer that uses colored film, instead of ink to print pictures and I love it. It prints great pictures which are fade and waterproof. However, the refills of paper and film are VERY expensive to buy now that it's not so popular. Even back when it was new, the cost per print was high compared to inkjet. Be sure you can still get the printing supplies you need before you get a printer like this and then stock up.

I haven't heard anything about this Pandigital printer, so can't give you any advice on whether to buy it.

Colleen,
Thanks for your info. I'll keep it in mind as I continue pondering what to do!

I haven't used a zink printer, but I did read up a little about them a while ago. As Colleen mentioned, the one issue that was reported in most of the reviews I read was the unavalability of the photo paper. It sounds like it would be great for portability.
