did you read the Copic FAQ in the tools and technique thread?? here's the chat about paper: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
most people agree that GP is an inferior paper to those you purchased... one sign of bad paper is the ink running out of the lines.. i'd read the copic threads and try to be patient until your papers arrive! I love both of them.

I'm no Copic expert but have a few that I use with GP 110 paper from Sams. I've found that the kind of ink you use can make a difference. Memento inks seem to work pretty well. Also, I am a pretty careful "colorer" and try to color just inside the lines and not over them.

No but I will read it, thanks! I dont think GP is going to work well for me. Its hard being patient waiting for my paper LOL

I use Memento, and they are still running outside the lines. And I dont color outside the lines but it runs to it lol
I use Neenah and GP both. Each requires a different technique, but I have become used to both. With GP I dont color up to the line, I leave a small space of "white" for any bleed. As the color absorbs into the paper, it usually colors the space I leave, if it doesn't I swipe very lightly over that space. Neenah, doesn't require that, and blending is a bit different. Both can work equally well though, it just takes getting used to I think.

I know a lot of people use GP but I just can't stand the stuff. I bought some thinking I could save money, and now I only use it for mass mailings like to back xmas cards etc. It's so thin and "cheap" feeling.
For Copics, I use Neenah Solar White with Memento ink, and for everything else I use SUs whisper white ((love it)) because it's superior for absorbing classic ink and has that rich feel from the buffered coating. I haven't ordered GinaK yet bc these two meet my stamping needs.
I think you'll be fine once you get your GinaK or PTI paper. Neenah is my favorite because it feels like the blending is smoother. But here are some general tips:
- Don't oversaturate the area near the lines. Try to do your blending away from the outlines so that the excess ink won't travel outside of the lines.
- Embossing with clear powder helps me stay in the lines.

ITA. I use GP for the inside of my cards. You will be much happier with the PTI or Neenah.
I had the same problem with Georgia Pacific. I used the GP as my cheap experimentation /learner paper. Once I got some of my blending techniques down I did the same coloring on GP and same exact coloring on Neenah and compared the two side by side. Neenah was much smoother and I didn't experience any color traveling and spreading. Now that I am confident that I have some idea what I am doing, I am much happier using my copics with Neenah, PTI, Prism simply smooth or CC Designs copic quailty paper. It is not you, it is the GP. There is always bleed if you don't leave white space near the lines like the other Michelle said.
Well I will be using my GP for inside of cards and test paper too LOL it just doesnt work well. Im still waiting on my Gina K... shipping takes awhile but I know they are backed up.
