Default PVA GLUE

IN THE GLITTERED STENCIL TUTORIAL IT SAYS TO USE PVA GLUE ON THE STENCIL THEN SPRINKLE GLITTER. WHAT IS PVA GLUE?

Polyvinyl acetate is a component of a widely used glue type, commonly referred to as wood glue, white glue, carpenter's glue, school glue, Elmer's glue (in the US), or PVA glue. (Wikipedia)

There are lots of glues that are PVA, but for that tutorial a thin glue like Elmer's isn't going to work. You need something thick enough to hold its shape after the stencil comes off. Alene's Tacky glue might work, but I'd use Golden Gel Medium (you can get it in the artist paint section at Michaels).
