Default Punches -- uses -- please help me decide!

Should I buy the two circle punches?
What are they good for?

Should I buy the word window punch?
What is it good for?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!

It's my hostess night tonight (long anticipated!!!) and I'm in AGONY over what to order (as usual).

Yes to all your questions! I like both of my circle punches because I can't cut out good circles. They are great to layer with. The word window stamp can be used as a background for small words or phrases. It also looks neat the fold it in half over your matting with a brad to look like a tab. I'm sure there are lots more uses for all these punches.

I'm pretty sure you need all 3. And make sure you have the square ones, too! LOL I have bought my square and circle punches at the LSS for cheaper, but since it's your hostess night, it's probably worth it to buy SU. (I bought EK Success.) And I *love* my word window punch! I use it a lot.

I have seen more and more with the word window. Sliders cards..., the fold over brad technique posted above, punching out a section and then stamping on another piece and then attach that piece under the punched out opening so that that it peeks through. Using it to punch out the handle on a small tote.

All three. The word window is used for spinners and can be used with a word stamped in the space also. The punchie part can be used as an accent, with or without a word. The circles can be used one atop the other for a word, with a flower in the center, or on the spinner card. If you punch the larger in a metallic paper and layer the smaller one on top, you have a paper rimmed tage if you punch a hole in it. You can also use the circles to hold one letter to spell out a word inside the circles. With some imagination, you can use the circles to create ovals or other shapes that folks made before all the punches became available. I agree that you should also consider layered squares since they can be used as squares or tilted to be diamonds. The thumb SU punches (EK) are easy to use.

Default Flowers

Word window puch can be used to make cute little flowers. Please not mind the extra little hole, I was trying this to see if it would work, and my 19 month old was pulling on my arm as I was punching the hole. LOL I am going to make somemore of these.

Thanks Lisadwb for posting the little flower made with the word window punch! I had not seen that use of the punch and will definitely be using it for flowers!

Okay, okay, I bought all three!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a lot, guys!!
As far as the square punches go, I can pass for now, because for squares my cutter works fine, and for square windows, my exacto knife is good enough for now.
