It's Liquid Applique. Sometimes Joann's carries it. Other times I've found it in LSS. I'm sure it's available online, too, but I haven't purchased it online, so can't give any advice in that area.

LSS= Local Scrapbook Store. I bought al my puffy paint throught the Marvy Uchida website. They are the compnay that sells Liquid Applique. Great price and fast shipping. Hope this helps!

Girls I have THE answer for you on this one. Go to Wallyworld to the shirt painting part of the craft department and pick yourself up a bottle of Tulip Puffy white paint. It works the EXACT same way Liquid Applique does for LOTS less money. A generous tube (at least 4 times the amount of LA) costs right around a dollar. Now HOW can you beat THAT? Been using this for several years and NEVER have had a problem with it. Use it for snow, fur, tiny blossoms on a branch. Heat it, or not, sprinkle it with glitter for some sparkle. Try it, I promise you will LOVE it!
If you want to pm me your address i have a pot that i can send you for free. I bought it but only tried it once, i now have some stuff in a tube so i don't need the pot. x
I have those, too. I must admit I haven't remembered to use them as I should. I vaguely remember using the white on clouds once and it appeared to come off easily. Is that the case? or should I give it another try or perhaps I didn't let it cure long enough, maybe requiring 24 hours.

Hi Cindy! That has never happened to me before. I'm actually checking the cards I made with the puffy ones, and they're intact. Usually, after application, I heat it with the gun, and the longer I heat it, the puffier it gets. It sets right there and I didn't have to wait for hours for it to "cure." I wonder what caused it to come off in your situation. Did you apply it directly on the paper, or was there something else first like ink or something? I'm sorry I really have no idea what is causing that.

I think it probably was not direct to paper, but over top of prismapencil, which could have been it. I also could just be imagining it!;) I have by no means given up on them, I just forget about them. I will make it a point to use them in the near future, especially now that I know they are permanent, as the effect really is pretty cool and its fun watching them 'expand'

Oh yeah... I just can't stop myself from smiling really big when I see them "expand"... LOL

Thanks for sharing this tidbit. My dd love using the liquid applique, but I hate paying the price for the tiny bottle. We will have to buy some of this next time we are out.
There's also some stuff called "Snowtex" at JoAnn that is more like a paste you have to spread on. It's not as easy to use, but if you have a larger area that you want to look like snow it's great.
I'll have to try the white puffy paint...only question is, do you heat it after and then it expands? Or, does it just dry like you apply it?
