Snowflake Stamp Set - Anyone know a good one?

I'm looking for a pretty set of snowflake stamps. So far I haven't seen one at the few places I've looked, but I know there are tons of stamp companies out there. Anyone have any suggestions on a good set??

Stampin Up has one in thier holiday cataloge. Also, DRS Designs has several including some very pretty snowflake backgrounds.

I forgot to mention GinaK. She has some nice ones, but you have to purchase them in sets with other images. One of my favorites is "The Magic of Christmas" set.

I guess it depends on your idea of "pretty"! I really like the Stampers Anonymous Grunge Flakes set - four different flake designs and two sizes of each flake makes it very versatile and the flakes are beautifully detailed and naturalistic. The smaller flakes come as one strip like a border but I snipped mine apart to make individual stamps. I later read Tim Holtz say that they were intended to be separate but the set was cheaper if they manufactured it with them as one strip.

Have fun finding your perfect snowflakes!

Those Tim Holtz snowflakes are Very pretty. I think I'm going to buy them!

Oooh, DRS does have a pretty one. I wish they made it smaller. I've never seen this site before. Thanks for telling me about it!

I'm not a fan of grunge style, but the Tim Holtz ones are pretty. :)

Denami Designs has some pretty ones here . I have shopped with them before with no problems.

Now that one would drive me insane - it has eight points! I know some people are not at all bothered by spiders with six legs or bees with four or snowflakes with eight points but I guess I'm easily disturbed!

If I'm honest, if the word "grunge" wasn't in the name of the set, I don't think I would have come up with "grunge" as a description of these. I guess "Pretty Snowflakes" doesn't sound very Tim Holtz though

Maybe that isn't the right term, I just know that it makes me crazy if I don't get a full impression -- like when you didn't push hard enough on all the block edges or you didn't get it inked evenly enough. I know it's part of the style those snowflakes, but it would make me crazy. I'm weird like that. Maybe I can adapt someday. :)

There's a Penny Black set out that has a few different sizes and styles. I've found the snowflakes I admire the most have the fewest pointy parts. Here are some PB examples. More Sponged Snowflakes bits & pieces

The crafts meow ones are sold out!:(

I was going to say that I haven't seen any pretty snowflake stamps since most of my SU ones have been retired, but the Penny Black ones (All Is Bright) could tempt me, if I hadn't told myself I have enough. Another draw back is that they look to be clear and I am a die hard rubba gal!

This new snowflake set from PTI also reminds me of the Tim Holtz Grunge flakes (but cheaper than that set!).

I love PTI's Snowflake Medley AND the coordinating dies.

Mine is SNOW SWIRLED from Stampin'Up!

cobby 11-02-2012 08:07 AM

the Tim Holtz "Grunge Flakes" is available on Overstock.com for $16.49; and shipping with them is always $2.95.

It's listed as a high sell-out risk right now though.

cricutaddict 11-02-2012 08:57 AM

I have two snowflake sets from Stampin Up: Snowflake Soiree (in the Holiday Mini) and Snow Swirled (in the annual catalog). :)

terribean 11-03-2012 06:03 AM

I just love the set called, "Snow Swirled", From Stampin' Up. And it is still available.
It has 3 snowflakes (sm,med,&lg) a Christmas Tree thats made out of snowflakes and pretty swirls and two saying. The wood set is $24.95 & the clear set is $17.95.
I also bought a Snowflake punch last year made by Martha Stwart that you can place anywhere you want on your card to get the design. It came from the Craft store Michael's and it's called Scallop Snowflake Pattern and it's magnetic. It looks great if you put glittery paper behind it.
Hope this helps.
Terri
