What do you use for making show on your cards?

Hello. I have used marvy liquid applique. It goes on like a glue and you let it dry, then you heat it with a heat tool and it puffs up. You can find it here:

If you scroll down a little, they also have something called a snow marker. I've never used it but it sounds interesting.

I like to use white Flower Soft, but it is a bit opaque, so if you have already added color to the places where you want your snow to fall, it doesn't show up well. White acrylic paint works well, dotted with a stylus point.

Oh, I do have the snow marker too - it does puff up a little but not as foofy as the Liquid Applique.

I've used the styrofoam ball "flower soft" (I have a blog post on a comparison between it and flower soft if you're interested Can You Tell the Difference?). I also have the Snow Writer, opalescent mica flakes, and large chunk glitter. I've used white flocking, my own "faux" flocking (I describe how to make it in this thread ). I made the salt & flour paste and heated it with my heat gun to puff it up, and I STILL CAN'T GET IT TO LOOK LIKE SNOW!!! I think I'll have to stick to warm weather cards... :lol:

I know Liquid Applique tend to be the Golden Unicorn in the crafting world. If you can't find it you can use Tulip 3D paint or Scribbles.

I use flower soft, grated styrofoam, glitter, & cotton balls. Those are the top ones I can think of. Flower Soft was a freebie since i stole it from Dini.

I use Martha Stewart white glitter (Carrera Marble) mixed with a little chunky glitter. It works really well. I also like white Flower Soft, but I'm not a big fan of the Liquid Applique.

I just bought some stuff by Aleene's called True Snow. It seems to work fine and i don't have to heat set it. I just let it sit out to dry.

I like to use the chunky white glitter. I reminds of how snow looks when the sun is shining on it.

I use Cotton White Fun Flock mixed with a little fine white glitter (for a bit of sparkle). I have tried lots of different products but finally settled on the Fun Flock. A little container goes a very long way plus it doesn't stick up much which makes it less likely to get damaged/squashed/come off in the post. I found the white Liquid Applique looked too creamy in colour against my very white cardstock and tended to stick up too much for the look I wanted. I just adhere the flock with some craft glue and press it down a bit with my finger - quick and easy.
