Question matchbox dies

sizzix makes a matchbox die and su has an their exclusive one. sizzix tells their dimensions, what are the finished dimensions of the su die? i am looking to make some favors, so i want one that nuggets fit in. has someone used either and how many fit?

thanks
lori

Do you have a sizzix pro? The matchbox die by sizzix is for use only in the pro. Not sure about the SU die. Lifestyle crafts makes a matchbox die that would work in the regular sizzix with extended plates. I was actually jut going to post here and see if anyone has used it! It's for sale on amazon right now for 20 dollars which I think is pretty reasonable. I spoke to customer service but they wouldn't really confirm to me what types of medium it would cut through. I want it to cut chipboard and they pretty much said "maybe".

The SU match box die holds 4 nuggets and works with the regular big shot.

The SU Matchbox is 2 5/8" x 2" and like Judy said holds 4 nuggets perfectly. You can make it bigger if you want though, I have a tutorial (free, of course) on my blog on how to make it longer:

Hershey Nuggets. They look great wrapped and in the matchboxes. You can see them here:

Yapha-
Thank you for the tut on how to expand the matchbox. I was disappointed with the original size because it is so small. The pillow box and scallop envelope are too small for a gift card unless you alter them too. Just wish the cut size was large enough for a gift card. The kids in the family are now gift card age so this
is what I need most.

Thank you again.

i do have a pro and the sizzix die is 3 5/8 x 5 1/4, so it will fit a gift card, but not sure how many nuggets. but 4 nuggets for table favors seems like enough. thanks.
