ISO A2 kraft envelopes

Hi,

I use kraft and confetti cream A LOT! I used to get nice big boxes of envelopes locally at XPEDX but they closed the retail store. Sigh. Anyone have a source?

I don't like the dark brown at Michael's, too much like a grocery sack. KWIM?

Thanks in advance,
Jen

envelopes

don't know if this will help. we have a store in Brunswick, Ohio called Hollos Papercraft, they sell all colors of envelopes, all sizes...an A 2 white and cream are 100 for 5.50....don't know if they ship but maybe you could look them up on the internet.
also, Hero Arts Stamps sells nice cards and envelopes very reasonably. worth a try.
good luck!!

It's really fast to make your own envelopes if you get the We Are Memory Keepers envelope punchboard which is available from many sources and is very reasonably priced (less than $20). You can make many sizes of envelopes with this tool which is great IF you want to make different sizes lol. You could buy a lighter weight kraft paper to make your envelopes if your kraft cardstock is pretty substantial.

This endorsement is coming from someone with very little patience, so the tool must be easy-to-use haha.

Two CAVEATS:
1. When this punchboard was first introduced, some of the preprinted dimensions on the tool were incorrect but have since been corrected. To see what size envelopes you can make and, if you're so inclined, to be sure your tool has the correct dimensions printed on it, you can check the dimenstions on the WRMK website here:
Tool Directions
2. Some folks are not happy with the A2 envelope size that this tool produces. I'm fine with it.

One place to buy (a little over $16.00) is Amazon:

Jen, The company name is We R Memory Keepers (not We ARE memory Keepers). Sorry for any confusion.

superjen 11-16-2013 11:54 AM

Thanks for the info. I keep eyeing that board then realize I barely have time to make cards and am unlikely to make envelopes!!! One of these days time will magically appear in my life, right? I keep wishing someone would invent a day between Saturday and Sunday.

Here is a pretty good deal on kraft A2 envies from Paper and More. I haven't personally ordered from them, but I remember others speaking well of this company:

I hear ya.

I think that day between Saturday and Sunday is called 'retirement'.

Stampin up has a punch board as well and they super easy and fast. It really doesn't take that long to make a envelope, I have never timed it but I don't think it takes me more then 1 minute. Just wanted to let you know they aren't that hard to use.

Thanks for the info, ladies! I love this place!

Hi Superjen. Here is a resource that might be of interest to you.

Kraft Outlet - DIY Wedding Invitions Brown, Vintage Style, Kraft Labels, Kraft Paper and Cardstock, Kraft Printing Supplies

Wow! A whole site devoted (mostly) to kraft paper items! Cool! Thanks!

Another more local source for Kraft Enveloper

Jen, if you ever go south to the Provo/Orem area, there is a store called "The Paper Store and More" that sells kraft A2 envelopes. They are about $5.50 for 25 envelopes. They have a pointed closure rather than the straight closure of most kraft envelopes. Here is a link to their site: A2 ENVELOPES
They also have reams of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock in a variety of colors. It's not nearly as good as xpedx, but if you are down that way anyway, it is convenient.

superjen 11-28-2013 06:26 AM

Oh thank you! I may have to make the trip! It's really not that far but I do seldom get that far south.

I bought my We R memory keepers board from micheals with a 40% off coupon and made it $13. plus change for tax

20 envies for $5.50 comes out to .22 each. The SU envelopes are $6.50 for 40, .16 each. While it might not be a great buy with shipping, it can be a really good price if you're combining it with other items.

I meant store shopping. I did a bit of cyber shopping. No crowds, no parking worries.
