Default Future Floor Finish

Found an unopened slightly yellowed jug of Future in my stamp storage. Remember it? The most recent thread I found was from 2009. Are there other uses for it besides with Pearlex....and the floor?

The only other thing I can think of using it for was with the clear ball christmas ornaments. Pour some in - swish it around, pour out the excess, then pour in glitter and do the same. I still have a bottle of it too. I think I made all of 2 ornaments and 1 card with pearlex. I don't do floors (at least not to that extent) that I would use floor polish.

People also use Future floor wax to coat polymer clay.

read that there were issues with the ornaments where the glitter all fell to the bottom so I used Mod Podge to do mine.

Think people use it to seal paper beads as well.

You can do the 'caught in crystal technique' with it. Pour some onto acetate/OHp film, enough to spread over the surface. Add drops of coloured inks/sprinklings of glitter/fibres etc. Then lay a sheet of tissue over it and leave to dry.
If you want to stamp on it, too many bulky inclusions like fibres make it awkward to geta good print. Also, put down plenty of newspaper first- this is messy!
HERE on my blog is a how I did it.

I used the Future floor wax in ornaments with glitter years ago. Mine still look great.

It can also be used as a kind of sealant in mixed media such as in altering dominoes.

Wonder if it has to do with climate. I watch videos were one crafter swears by Hot Glue in Maine and another can't get it to hold in Texas (because it re-melts).

Mine would probably be ok with wax but didn't see the point as I already had mod podge.

I use it to seal as it never yellows - my tile plaques I made are still clear from 7 years ago!

Hmm, haven't heard mention of the Caught in Crystal Technique in quite awhile - had to refresh my memory. Sheena Douglass has a video tutorial, and I sure do like the finished effect.

I'm not into crafts that don't involve card making; so it may come down to this technique and the Pearl-ex.

Thanks, all!
