Does anyone have this paper cutter? Any comments good or bad? OMC is have a sale on it so I was wondering if this is something that my Christmas $$ could be used to buy?

Well, I watched a youtube video of it last night. Not too impressed. It looks like it cuts very smooth due to the gears and all, but meh..... for me it would just be too big and take up too much space. I still swear by my Fiskars.
How much is OMC charging for it?

OMC is Oh My Crafts. I just put in an order for this yesterday. I've been wanting a genesis trimmer for quite some time, but just haven't wanted to spend the money. I love that this one appears to be able to cut the smaller cuts easily unlike my carl cutter because there is no guide in the way. It also appears to cut more than one sheet of paper at a time, although not as much as my carl since it does not have the clamp to keep the paper in place. But the genesis only cuts one sheet at a time, which was one reason I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money since I do a lot of cutting mulitiples for card classes. I also love the idea of never having to change the blade. I am hoping this will be the cutter I can leave out on my work space for all cutting jobs rather than having multiple cutters... we'll see!

every few months i start the "trimmer research" and then decide i cant decide and keep limpin along with my fiskars trimmer with the wire, which never cuts where the wire is. i told my husband that i will make him a spreadsheet with all the data from the ones i am considering and he can decide! the older i get the more indecisive i get....

Hi Lori,
I see you're still looking too. I am also thinking of purchasing this cutter. I have read all the reviews I have been able to find. It seems in the beginning, not quite sure when that was since I found one dating back from a year ago, there were some problems with the ruler lining up and the paper slipping under the ruler. There was also no lock on the compartment underneath. It seems these issues have been corrected over time and most of the opinions have been positive.
I bought a Fiskars from ACM on Monday. The price was 79.99-50% coupon. Needless to say it will be returned.
Since there are only a few more days I may try the Procision from Joanns to see what it's like.
The Genesis is out for me.
I need a cutter and I need it like yesterday. I want something I won't be replacing in the next 2 years as I already have 5 cutters. I'm tired of looking for a cutter so this one could be it.
