Default Cinch Problems

I have had my Cinch binding machine for about 3 years. I use it every so often. Lately, I have been experiencing problems with the various pegs. I will set it up, make sure the pegs are pushed in or pulled out as needed but on subsequent punches the pegs get out of whack for no reason. Ones that were pushed in to punch, stop punching. The ones that were pulled out start punching where they should not. I am not touching the pegs during the punching process.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any recommendations that I can try? It used to work great but now it is quite a challenge to get any project to come out right.

Thanks,

Megan

Try lowering the handle a bit and push/pull pegs to make sure they're locked in place.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have done all those adjustments with the handle/pegs. Nonetheless, the various pegs still get themselves out of alignment on subsequent punches. So annoying.

I hope you can get it resolved. Let us know. My Cinch hasn't had the issue so far.

Oh my gosh, I just got a cinch. Purchased it on a Black Friday special. Received it like 3 or 4 days before Christmas had to wrap it and put it under the tree. I Just got the chance to play with it this week and I am sooo disapointed and frustrated. I have been wanting this machine for ages (over a year for sure) I have watched video after video and now that I got to use it I am having the exact same issue with the pegs and it is brand spank'n out of the box. My fingers are literally sore from pushing and pulling on those pegs. I Hope I am not stuck with a defective machine

Here's a video that show "stuck" pegs: The Cinch - Right Out of the Box Tips - YouTube (In case you haven't seen it.)

YVW! I've never had any issues with my Cinch that I couldn't figure out. Good luck with yours.

I don't own a cinch, but a bind-it-all and I've noticed that if I forget to empty out the punches the bind-it-all locks up or fails to punch properly. Even after just two or three punches, I now empty it to avoid any issues!

Just a thought!
