You will probably get lots of brand names, because everyone has their favorite brand of printer. I have a somewhat old (about 3 years) Lexmark X1150 that still works well.
The main suggestion I have is to get a printer that is top-loading, so that the cardstock doesn't have to go tightly around a roller inside. The one I have feeds the paper through almost flat, with just a little curve.

I tried to use my hubby's fancier Canon because the colors are better than my old one, but it had a hard time with cardstock and jammed up. I finally got it to work with multiple tries, but the cardstock emerged really curled up.
