Talking Printer that will print on Stampin' UP! Cardstock

Need the help of my stampin buddies again. Love the advice to be obtained from experienced paper crafters.
I would like to purchase a new printer that will print easily on cardstock.
Please share your wisdom with a not-so- smarter!

You will probably get lots of brand names, because everyone has their favorite brand of printer. I have a somewhat old (about 3 years) Lexmark X1150 that still works well.

The main suggestion I have is to get a printer that is top-loading, so that the cardstock doesn't have to go tightly around a roller inside. The one I have feeds the paper through almost flat, with just a little curve.

I tried to use my hubby's fancier Canon because the colors are better than my old one, but it had a hard time with cardstock and jammed up. I finally got it to work with multiple tries, but the cardstock emerged really curled up.

Yes, as Bugga said, you'll get lost of different suggestions. See, she had problems with a Canon, and I have a Canon and find that I can feed 130# cardstock through the upright feed without any problems. SU! cardstock runs through my printer without any problems too. You may want to take a couple pieces of the cardstock you want to print on to where you will be buying your printer to test them out.

I love HP, loyal forever. It feeds paper through the front so it does have a sharp turn as it prints but it goes through fine. I have to feed it through one sheet at a time, not load up a stack, but I love the quality of the printing and it rarely jams (unlike my old Lexmark!).

I have always had - until 3 weeks ago - HP printers and they all took SU! paper quite well. I haven't tried my new Kodak yet to see if it works in there.

Thumbs up

It's odd. Since I posted , my Epson is doing well. My Kodak had a print head problem. I have ordered another Kodak for replacement. My old one worked well w cardstock. The new one has back loading paper,it appears by earlier post this may be the key. Thanks and I look forward to more replys.
