I was just over at the Papertrey forum and came up with this nice little bit of news! There was a request for being able to buy their cardstock in larger quantities and here is the result, per Nichole:
"Julie, Jane & I discussed your request. Our colored cardstock will be available in 50 (8.5 x 11) sheet packages for $9 and the Stamper's Select White will be available in 100 (8.5 x11) sheet packages for $12 for our June 15th release."
Just thought I'd share the good news in case anyone is interested

That is awesome news!! I go through the white paper quite a bit and the 100 pack is perfect for me. Thanks!

Wow..I love their cardstock too...it is top of the line quality. I buy it all...nice to know we will be able to get larger quantities...yummy.
Blessings.
I'm new to making cards and have been looking at the paper available at the papertrey site. I'm wondering what most people prefer - 8 1/2 X 11 sheets or the card sets that come with matching envelopes?
And Teri - I think most people prefer the 8 1/2 x 11 sheets - at least I do. I use my cardstock for card bases, layering, and to stamp on ;). I would hate to cut a card set apart - kwim?
That's what I was thinking - so then do you make your own envelopes or order them premade? If you make your own, what paper works best? I'm full of questions aren't I?!?
Teri, definitely the sheet because I don't want to make the same size card all the time Also I use this card stock for small pieces for focal images, so to cut apart ready made cards would not be so clever.

I was SOO happy when Nichole announced that the other day. I'll probably still buy the smaller packs to start. But refills will all be in the new larger quantities.
So longer answer: Its a LOT thicker. It's not as smooth. That SU white is the super smoothest I've ever used. The PTI is smooth, but not THAT smooth. It is super white like the SU though.
I prefer the papertrey because I LOVE to make cards with white bases and the PTI white is such a nice thick weight that it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy.
Also I know this sounds like a contradiction, but it scores lovely for folding too, in spite of it's thick weight.

Hi all... I just went to the PTI website and in the Paper Basics section their Stamper's Select white cardstock is now only listed in packs of 40 sheets for $6...does anyone know if the larger packs are still available, maybe listed somewhere else?
Here is a post Nichole wrote on the Papertrey forums:
Quote:
We are no longer offering the 100-sheet packs of any of our cardstocks. Because of recent increases in both paper manufacturing and shipping (aka fuel & resources), we would have had to raise prices on all of our cardstock. Instead of doing that, we wanted to find a way to maintain the value that you have become accustomed to with our high-quality papers. The best solution we found was to eliminate our largest package option. Thanks in advance for your understanding!
