Which paper cutter works best?

My paper cutter "feathers" the edges of some of my cs. I use SU, so it should be standard. It's not the colored paper, just the white. I replaced my blade, but it still happens. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?

Which paper cutter are you using? If it is a rotary one with the rubber strip under the blade try rotating the strip. It took me a long time to figure out that was what I needed to do on mine.

SU white & vanilla cardstock has a very high linen content (which is why it takes ink so beautifully) and will fray. To minimize the tearing, just slip an edge of typing/copier paper on top before cutting. One sheet of copier paper will help you make LOTS of perfect cuts - just think about placement and only use the egde; you don't need to cover the entire piece of cardstock. Hope this makes sense and that it helps you!

Are you talking about plain printer paper? That would make sense, that it's the only one fraying. A friend of mine is having the same problem. I'll try that and see if it is my problem. Thanks
