Default Paper Cutter - Fiskar Type from Page 199

Before spending my Great Rewards points on the SU!paper cutter, I would like to get some reviews. I am speaking of the person trimmer from Fiskar that is black and silver in the current 2011 catalog.

I have seen several post about the grid and numbers wearing off. Also, about the life of a blade.

I have the full size table cutter from tonic and I use it all the time for class. But I want one that I can stick in my bag and take to my upline workshops. I have an older version of Fiskar that is 12" long with swing out arm. However, the base without the arm extended is only 3" on the grid.

I really would like to be able to cut a standard sheet in half for a standard card without having to make a tick mark from my ruler to find the 5 1/2 " mark. I don't like to use the swing out arm, as I don't think it very accurate.

I actually have completely shelved mine. I find that the replacement blades wear out with our thick SU cardstock and I end up needing to replace them so frequently it's just not worth it. Good luck!

I have been using this type of cutter for years. Yes, the blades need replacing fairly often if you are cutting large amounts of cardstock. I have never had the numbers/lines wear off! I have one that is over 5 years old. Since I am a demo and I do cut huge amounts of cardstock, I also have a large table top Fiskars Rotary cutter that will cut up to 3 sheets of cardstock at a time. I use the smaller version for demos and for scoring!

If you use your table top cutter at home for majority of your cutting and just want to use the Fiskars at your upline's house you won't need to change the blade that often. I like my Fiskars but not as my primary trimmer because I need to replace the blade too often.
