Default Ovals and Circles!

I want to be able to cut ovals, circles, etc. and have a Coluzzle but don't like it at all. Maybe I don't know how to work it but I have to think there's something easier to work with. Any ideas or recommendations would be very much appreciated!!

I am forever sold on the CM cutting system.
They are the easiest to cut, and I am finding that some of the oval shapes are compatible with my Nestabilities. Yahoo. That is a great plus for me. Haven't tried the circles yet, that is my next Nesti buy.

I love my CM ovals, don't ave the circles. But I just got the nestabilities ovals and I'm really excited about them, too. Something to consider if you have a die cutting achine.

CM cutting tools are great if you don't have a die cutter.

Thanks. I thought nestabilities were punches. No? Are they used in the Cuttlebug? I am going to be in debtor's prison, I can tell.... ^..^

I love my Coluzzle! It does take a bit of practice and once you 'get it' it is an awesome system with so many possibilities! You have to hold the knife straight up and guide it around the channels. Also make sure you use the special cutting mat.

Hate the coluzzle...so I went back to my trusty CM cutting system. It doesn't take practice to learn how to use it!

Love the Coluzzle! It's cheap, effective, and has lots of shapes.
To make it work right, you must:
1. Use the mat!
2. Hold the blade in your fist like a 2-year-old with a crayon.
3. Move your arm from the shoulder, not the wrist.
4. Attach the paper to the coluzzle with blue painter's tape or other low-tack tape.
5. Don't press too hard on the coluzzle. If the paper's taped to it, you won't have to press down very hard.

Good luck!

I have the coluzzle too. I do not find it hard to use. I tried it a couple times and was good to go. Inexpensive, well made and very versatile. Love it!!!

I use a Crayola Cutter. I tried the Coluzzle and couldn't get it right. Someone on here talked about the Crayola Cutter and I bought one. It is so easy to use, but you have the sand/smooth the edges when you are done. It also works great to cut out around flowers or other intricate areas. I use the hard plastic Fiskars shape templates or freehand.
