Default New Printer Advice

Hi. I need a new printer for cardstock and I am looking at the Canon Pixmas based on your good reviews. I do have a question for you. I like to use up scraps of paper before having to use a new piece of 8.5 by 11 cardstock. Do the Pixmas take small pieces of paper? I am usually working off of a Microsoft Word document and printing out a name or two on cardstock so I don't need very large pieces of cardstock. Thanks Much, donna

I know my MP560 doesn't take really small pieces of paper, but there is a work around for that. I print what I want on a plain piece of bond and then tape my cardstock piece over the printout and run it through my printer again making sure I have enough trim room between the printout and the tape. Its a good way to use up odd shaped pieces of cardstock.

What a great idea! My printer doesn't take small pieces of paper either but I never thought to do this; thanks so much for telling us about this. Diane

Mine will take as small as a quarter sheet of cardstock, which is essentially what I put inside the card so it works well.
