Default McGill paper blossoms punch- paper gets stuck inside!

Just had a question for anyone that's used the McGill paper blossoms punches. I bought the mini flowers punch and have used it some and find that it doesn't want to release the paper after the flowers punch out. The punched pieces pop right out, but the rest sticks inside and ends up actually inside the punch. I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced this or has any ideas on how to get that paper out? I don't want to take the punch apart, I'm afraid it won't go back together! If you have any ideas or help I'd really appreciate it!

subbing...I just ordered these. I think before you use them again you might try punching some wax paper. If the punch is stuck "down" then you might try tapping really hard on the floor or something to see if it would release. If that doesn't work call McGill (1-800-982-9884) and ask what they suggest. I have found they have good customer service. good luck.

It's definitely not that the punch is stuck, it's just that the paper that you put in to punch gets caught inside and rips when I try pulling it out. It's too small of an area to reach into the punch and grab the scraps with a tweezer. It punches great, really easy and everything, it's just the paper going inside the punch that's the issue. Maybe there are others out there that have had the same trouble?? I'll give it a little time and then call if I need to. Thanks for your help, Pamela!

I use a Quickstik pen to pick up tiny things . I have used it to get tiny pieces out of a punch. It has sticky stuff on the end to adhere to the tiny pieces
Here is a link, but I am sure there are many places that sell it. I think I saw it at Hobby Lobby

Let us know what works and Good Luck. I wonder if your paper was too thick? But they used Bazzill in the demo I saw and that is pretty thick.

I have a quickstick so I'll give that a try. I don't think it was that the paper was too thick, because I used both thin and thicker patterned paper and it still stuck. It's the negative paper that's leftover when the flower pops out. I'll give the quickstick a try, maybe that's just the ticket. I'll let you know if that works! thanks for the help!!
