Ladies, I am looking into a machine that can/will work with my SVG files I already have downloaded. I have bought and downloaded so many free that I would hate to lose them when I eventually have to have a new machine. Currently I have a Cricut and do not have the money to replace it even though I would love a new cutter, I am praying that my Cricut holds up forever (or until I win the lottery) but I know that it won't therefore I am trying to scout out a replacement and would really appreciate your imput because I don't know anything about the machines. So, do any on the market work with current SVG files and cut details well? Thank you for your help.
The new cutters will cut SVG files if you are using software that can read the SVG files. The Silhouette designer edition will cut svgs. MTC & SCAL both will cut svgs without any "upgrading" required. These software packages work with the Cameo & Portrait machines (from Silhouette America) as well as Wishblade/Silhouette/CraftRobo machines (these are older models of the new Silhouette machines). It also works with the KNK Zing machine. I'm not familiar with any of the BossKut machines, Cougar/Black Cat, or Pazzles, so I don't know what software they use, but I'm sure they can cut svg files too.
Thank you for helping with the info on the die cutters. I have the SCAL program that I use with my Cricut and I know I am not using it to it's fullest ability, but I am using it to my fullest ability. I am copying off the info and storing it away in reference to "someday" when I go shopping for a new machine!
