This is rolling out at CHA
It has adjustable rollers so there is no fiddling with sandwiches and shims .
It is small and portable like a Cuttlebug and they say the suction feet really hold LOL
People can buy a motor at an additional cost
Suggested retail price $119.99 . The removable motor is $79.99
Sheesh ! I will wait and to see how this really works but IF it lives up to the Hip I may be interested in buying one
I like them both. I think the Evolution is so cute.
Gale- I really like the Crossover. Thank you for sharing the link. My DH loves to quilt. He's looking for a quilting cutter. This one went to the research list.
There is another one and it is from Nellie Snellen called the Press Boss. It only uses 2 plates for cutting and has 18 settings for thickness. It will take 8.5 x 11 paper.
In Canada the only place I know that has it the retail price is $180.00 Canadian.
I am considering it. I won't buy anything new that won't take the larger dies.
That does sound great, to not have to mess with different sandwiches. But I just don't think I'll plop down $119 when it doesn't do anything my Big Shot does. If my Big Shot broke I'd sure think about it...
As for the motor, if I had a disability, now that would be awesome, but as I don't it is probably better for me to use my muscles.
Not only are the rollers adjustable , but they are solid core. On the video Mike said the hollow rollers get weak in the center. I think that would be why none of the machines on the market cut crisply in the center and we need to keep turning the die and paper . Plus it will cut multiple shapes at once. That is a bonus for those of us who make paper flowers.
List price is $249 but it is "all metal" and not plastic
Hum-m-m-m

I like this one - but it looks like it isn't electronic. I have been considering the ebosser since I do a lot of repetative cutting and want a larger format. Wish there was one that had all three - larger format, adjustable rollers and electronic!

Joan, I like the fact that it is not electric. When we lost power in that last ice storm a while back I spent the daylight hours in my craft room. The only thing I could not do was heat emboss.
I also like that I only have to crank it through until I am past the die then crank back and out it comes. I hate the time spent cranking nothing.
But if you do a lot of repetitive work then electric might be best.

Oh yes, I totally agree that I wouldn't want to have just electric. I have my big shot and big shot pro both that I will certainly keep. I use those for my card club gals too. I am just looking for something that won't kill my wrists when I need something like 50 cuts of a nestie when prepping. And I would keep it all for me to keep it in good shape;)
