I just heard about a product that is new to me called KAISERFusion Markers. They are alcohol-based and look like Copics, but cost substantially less. Has anyone used these yet? If so, is the fine point end more like the original Copics or more like the Copic Sketch markers?
Holtzfan, I appreciate your honesty. May I ask, please, what you don't like about Spectrum Noirs? I have only some Copics but mostly Prismas in my collection. I'd really like your feedback.

I use Copics but I received a SN in a gift bag and I notice that the SN do not blend as well as the Copics and the SN have a bullet tip instead of a brush tip. The bullet tip (for me) is not as easy to use for blending.
I just saw the Kaiser pens in a add and was wondering why there were so inexpensive. I did note that they are non-refillable so in the long run they are more expensive. I think I'll wait to see the reviews before venturing into buying any.
Linda, yesterday, I went to a stamp convention and they had the Kaiser markers. I talked with our LSS owner and she said they aren't that great. Her recommendation was that if I was going to color on something that would ruin my Copics, then use the Kaisers, otherwise they were not worth the money. I trust her, so I'm not going to buy any.
Stamphappy, I'm so glad you told me that. Won't waste my money. As Holtzfan stated, ShinHans are available for $4.30 at DickBlick.com. I might try out a few.
SCS's Dina Kowal/Mama Dini is an expert on SH pens and she has color charts on her blog. You can usually find her in the SCS Prismacolor Chatter forum. SH also makes gorgeous traditional watercolor paints. Not cheap, but manageable.
I'm everywhere, like the wind. Happy to answer questions.
