Default ink blending tool?

hi. I have just bought an ink blending tool . I have been using it in a circular motion but it seems to grab the paper. Does anyone have some tips on using it. Thanks alot.

What type of tool? Blender pen with liquid in it or a paper stump?

Its from Kaszazz. Its a rectangle of foam mounted on a block. The problem is sometimes it leaves a corner mark on the paper instead of being nicely blended.

Are you using it on a craft mat (or anything slick)? I had trouble at first with the blending tool from Tim Holtz, but most of my problems were resolved when I started using the non stick mat underneath. Also, you might need to use a lighter touch? Remember - lots of layers of color, not one layer with lots of color. One of the hardest things for me!
